Bad battery poll

Have you had your battery replaced under warranty? If so, which one(s)?

Could people state whether 3.6 or 2.0 engine ? The 48v ETorque is covered for 8 years, 80,000 miles under Federal Emissions warranty. The smaller 3.6 ESS battery also should be.

Even better: Can the OP modify the poll to include BSG & non-BSG battery types? The 48v battery does not automatically mean it's a 2.0 anymore. Same with the 12V auxiliary battery & 3.6.

It reads 14.1 constantly and has been since I've owned the Jeep which tells me something has happened recently....or maybe my aux battery has slowly been dying since last July.
yeah if its reading 14.1 constantly, its definitely a bad battery. mine did the exact same thing.

So the dealership this morning looked at my JLUR and said since the ESS system is not throwing a code, then they don't see anything wrong and, it would be 3 days before they could run a GR8 battery test since their electrical dept is so backed up....prob with broken ESS systems. Naturally, the ESS worked great yesterday, my voltage dropped to the low 13s until this morning and back to 13.9 - 14.1 and ESS not working again with an hour of driving to charge the aux battery.

So I guess I need to suck it up, lose my Jeep for a few days to let them run a GR8 test and likely confirm my suspicion that the aux battery is toast. Maybe when I go in for my V41 "fix" next week. I hate the EPA and their CAFE standards which gave us this ESS mess.
