Backwards flag

I just now, today, noticed that the flag on my passenger side is backwards. Is this normal?

I wondered about this the first time I noticed it too.

It’s not backwards, we’re used to seeing the flag presented with the staff to the left,
But Flags are Two Sided, and the staff (pole) should always be in the leading position of a flag in motion.

On the American flag , the Blue Field is always supposed to be to the Top, next to the staff

So the Blue Field can be to the right or left, depending on which side of the flag you are viewing

If you were hanging a flag on the wall the union(where the stars are) should be in the upper left. That means the union will be facing forward on one side of the Jeep and facing aft on the other side. Some people want the union facing forward one both sides like the flag is flying in the wind. The military wears the flag on the right shoulder like it’s flapping in the wind but technically the union is facing the wrong way. Do what makes you happy.

My understanding was the military wears it with the union facing the direction of travel to signify heading into battle as opposed to retreating.

Yeah I edited it to say charging into battle but I guess I didn’t update it. But yes exactly

Oil? Choose what the manufacturer recommends.
Everything else? The Wild West.
