Aux Switch Install

Maybe I missed it in the searches I’ve done. I’m asking so please don’t flame me.

I had my dealer do the aux switch install this weekend. This is the mopar kit with only 4 wires in cab, four wires under hood, and 4 relays (one for each switch).

My question: should the kit have come with fuses? When I looked at the fuse box, the fuses for the 4 switches weren’t there.

I also think the dealer forgot to flash the uconnect with the sales code as I don’t have the aux switch app on my radio to configure the switches.

Sounds like they forgot to flash it. I paid an additional $60 for the flash. Call them back and ask them. Another option is to buy the Tazer JL Lite and flash it yourself.

Would have to use a Tazer JL to enable Aux.... A Tazer JL Lite cannot enable Aux, unless the owner pays $125 to enable the Tazer JL Lite, to have full Tazer JL abilities.

BUT, yes, before I paid a dealer to enable Aux, I'd buy a Tazer JL or fully enabled Tazer JL Lite.

Thanks for the feedback on the Tazer - dealer covered the flash with the install. I just so happened to look for an app rather than the settings. I checked with him this morning and he confirmed the sales code was added. I'm good to go as far as switch activation - now I just need some stuff (and fuses)

Also found the fuses in the wire run across the engine bay near the windshield. All is good here. Just posting this in case someone is wondering in the future.

With the Aux kit install, the fuses are found there. Not the same place with the factory installed, Aux.

@Rhinebeck01 - right on...learning experience. I found install instructions on here somewhere and then looked. Never thought to ask dealer as I thought it integrated with the factory box.
