I installed the oem aux switches per instructions and U-tube videos.
once done and complete and flashed I tested them and no lights on switches.
double checked correct pin locations multiple times. Checked verified and rewired orange wires. Behind cubby before switch install is another Delphi plug so I tried that one and all my switches light up. I pulled out the multimeter and stated to compare. On the new harness red has voltage. The weird thing is the switch wires also have voltage coming back through… why? The orange wire has voltage. The black seems to be a good ground.
anyone know what in the fizzle fizzle I’ve done wrong. I disconnected everything waited and hooked it back up again no love. Reboot multiple times and did the sleep cycle also many times. Like it’s getting a power feedback. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you use a Tazer or a JScan to toggle it within the UConnect?

Tazer that part seems to work. There was a plug attached to the cubby when I removed the dash part. When I plug that in the switches will light up. So at least I know they work. I can’t figure out why the switch wires have voltage coming back on them. It’s almost like the harness is wired wrong. I can’t find a detailed schematic yet of the wiring

I find it hard to believe that the harness/switch being wired incorrectly. I've installed a couple of them in the past without issue. Do you have them toggled to be on constant power in the radio? I would start by pulling fuses, or possibly pulling the relays.

Getting closer. Checked fuses all good.
power runs from battery through fuses to relay, jumper’d to one side of coil in relay, other side of coil is the switch wires. Once the switch is activated and becomes closedcircuit created and relay trips and sends power to the wires under dash and in engine compartment. I think the reason the plug that is there from the factory don’t have power on the switch wires is because I don’t think there are coils in the pdc.
with that said I’m back to the switches and why they will activate with original plug and not the new aux plug.
checked ground all the way through to engine. Now exactly how does the switch get power, orange wire. i Have hooked up the orange wire direct and have power coming on that leg.

I have them on ignition. With original plug giving power and lighting up switches I’m wondering if the plug is bad

Pulled the hot and negative on the original plug and the switches light up
Pull the hot and neg out of new harness and nothing. But I do have 12 volts on that hot wire. And ideas????

That certainly doesn't make sense...Do all four relays function the same? I wonder if one (or more) of the relays are stuck closed?

Seem to be ok. I have the main power coming in, jumpered over to the coil and then the set h wire connects to the other side of the coil. I figured once I turn on the switch (open the circuit) the coil closes the the relay and sends power to the pig tails.
so back to the switch he’s. Seems weird it will operate with one hot and neg connected but not another. I was reading that if the switches don’t get 12 volts min they won’t work. Testing that idea now

Nope 12.32 bolts on the red wire which I assume is the battery or constant hot

3 of the switch poles have continuity with the ground pole. Seems odd

It doesn't make sense...especially since so many of these kits are working without issue. Where'd you get the kit from?

Nope I’m not an engineer but i do understand simple wiring and testing if not I can read but I’ll tell ya I feel pretty darn dumb right now
