Installing a GMRS radio and thought I'd utilize one of my factory aux switches on the dash. Did everything exactly like numerous you-tube videos' instructed. NO power to the switch and radio., nothing. Further checking at they pigtail under the hood by the battery, there is no power on any of the 4 wires that are designated for the aux switches. Am I missing something? Thanks...

Factory installed aux switches, or you retrofitted them yourself?

Factory Installed, all original. UConnect? You turn them on in the UConnect App?

Is this the first thing you've connected to one of the switches? It shouldn't matter which radio you have, in the settings menu, there is one for the aux switches. IIRC you can have them set to always powered or only powered when the jeep is on, engine running or just accessories.

Thanks, that is one of the videos I followed. No power to any of the fore wires. There are supposed to be a duplicate set of wires under the glove box, If I can find them I ill try them. Thanks...

Yes they are under the glovebox running along the firewall at the top edge of the carpet. Mine were wrapped in tesa tape and the end of the bundle was on the firewall closer to the center console. In addition there’s a constant power wire and an ignition on wire in that bundle under the dash.

Make sure that the fuses are good in the fuse box under the hood. I did an install of some rock lights for a customer that had somehow blown the fuse. I think it's one fuse for all four wires but there might be four fuses (one for each wire).

Thanks, that makes sense. All 4 switch wires are dead in both places (I located the ones under the glovebox)). However the ignition and hot wires under the glovebox are functional. I did a quick check in the fuse box for blown fuses, nothing. I need to go back to the fuse box and check them all closely. For now I'll just tap the hot wire and see if I can find a fuse that might be blown. That's the only other thing I can figure out, just need to find a fuse that is fried. Thanks..,.,

I had an issue with the 7 -pin connector plug, mind you I had to de-pin the red wire once during the install. But this is all it takes to make a bad connection (Photo below shows a non-working no light Aux switch plug). If you suspect that's the issue, use a metal pick and deform the open-end of connector, pushing it in a bit. You will also have a BMC code U113B-00 (readable with Tazer or some other device).

I believe the factory installed auxiliary switches also utilize a main fuse on the high current fuse array just outside the fuse box.

I apologize I didn't come back with the resolution... After all the frustration I gave up. Cam back the next morning and the electrical system was doing weird things. I figured I'd start the engine and see if that would correct the oddities, batters was down to 6.6 volts. Nothing left on, no reason that I could find for the drain, just drained for unknown reason. I jumped it with My Gladiator and all was good. For some reason I decided to check the aux switches and, low and behold, they had power?????? I did absolutely nothing other than what I stated above. My only guess is the dead battery caused the electrical system to reboot which corrected whatever taht was wrong? Thanks for all of your input.
