New member here with a question about the auxiliary battery. What does the auxiliary battery power? Can't find a clear answer. If I eliminate the stop/start function is the auxiliary battery necessary? Thanks!

Pay close attention to the posts by @Rhinebeck01 and you will have all of your questions answered. The general consensus is to eliminate the aux and replace the main with a 94R H7 battery. Once you read through the threads, you will find that it's fairly simple to do.

I replaced the main with a 94R H7, and the aux. Looking back, I would have eliminated the aux and all associated wiring. Next time I see a symptom of the aux failing, I will remove it and be done with the whole mess. But right now it's all working great.

The Aux and Main batteries are linked 99% of the time, which is why you should always replace them at the same time. Consider them two parts of the same battery. The only time they are isolated is during engine starts (cold or ESS). One battery starts the engine, the other keeps the electronics happy.
