Ok, but I disagree. :)

The post I linked shows pictures of the very "heavy jumper to N1 from one of the several positive sources (N2, 3, or 4, or the main battery bus)" that you cited. :)

Like yanking Fuse 42 this solution, as I suspect you know, and the original method before Jerry @Jebiruph identified the (PCR) Power Control Relay Fuse 42 connection, prevents the Aux battery connections from being isolated.[?]
Here's the October, 2018 opening from that post,

"I've seen quite a few posts related to failed Aux batteries causing flaky or dead electronics, stalling and failing to start/auto restart. I've come up with a simple way to temporarily bypass a bad Aux battery (also blown PCR fuse or bad PCR) and get back on the road. Warning - this post contains a lot of informed assumptions, so post your related experiences to help validate or invalidate any information I've provided."

So, a proposal for a temporary solution with a cautionary note is followed by 707 posts with all sort of opinion, speculation, group think, confirmation bias, and yes, a few facts. This is the internet. Good luck finding any relevant wisdom buried within.

Interested JL owners should look at ampacity charts, consider the purpose of the jumper they are contemplating, and determine cable size and both connection and fusing hardware that will be appropriate.

Maybe my intent wasn't clear.

For all the limitations of the post I linked that you cited and may be true, I was simply offering pictures to clarify a jumper based solution that you suggested as an option, for the purposes of aiding readers. Those pictures were, by the way, updated in June of 2021 as noted at the link.

I of course agree that the thickness of such jumping wire connections be gauged (no pun intended) against the maximum amperage apt to flow thru such connections, but as my link featured a fused approach, where that fuse was not under-engineered for the wires it protected, worse case scenario is the jumper's fuse fails, leaving the user no better than when they started, as opposed to the potential for fire.

Peace. I'm on your side, just putting up pictures of what you suggested, by no means contradicting it.

Retired, the best job I ever had.
Disconnected the Aux negative and pulled 42 fuse two weeks ago on my 2018 JLUS and no problems since. I already had the Start/Stop disabler installed. Goodbye AUX.
