Just went through Hurricane Ian and I have limited access to internet or cell service.
Jeep said Aux switches not available. Im guessing my batteries are going bad. Just didn't have time to scroll through the search function. Thanks

Battery voltage is low. Run engine to charge them or connect to a battery charger. Hopefully they aren't dying right now.

Be safe.

Probably because I was using the jeep to listen to the radio during the storm. I had not started it in a couple of days. Lets hope thats all it was.

So far the light hasn't come back on. Service still hard to get. Can anyone recommend the size for the 3.6 ? Its hard to search at times.

The small battery is not essential. With most JL you can just disconnect the cable and go on with your business.

So Im going to bring this thread back just for a quick question. So I have been busy with post hurricane work and fixing of the house.
Aux not available came back on Sunday when I washed the Jeep. Today came back on first start up when heading out to work. I forgot this Jeep is still under warranty at 19,000 miles and till May of 2023. I call the dealership to set up an appointment and they are telling the the battery test can take 5-6 hours to perform to see if the battery (or batteries) are in normal range.
Is that a normal procedure due to warranty ?

I have a load tester I can use at work but is their test some kind of special test because of dual batteries ?

It can take a couple of hours just for the test. 5 to 6hrs would be the total time I would imagine.

Dealership told me the same thing when I got new batteries. Something about Chrysler/fiat/Stellantis wanting the tests done for warranty work. I was past warranty and paying out of pocket so I didn't need the test.

Ok it just seemed odd that I have to leave it for the test to be ran. I asked how long and the response was 5-6 hours.

Thanks

Advance Auto Parts has both batteries you’d need in stock. Grab both in the Diehard AGM versions.

No you can't. You must first pull a fuse (42 I think) BEFORE you disconnect the motorcycle battery. See the GREAT thread Rhinebeck01 posted above

Mine has been disconnected for 2 years with no problems.
And you still have the fuse 42 in place? Is your a very early 2018? I know the early ones had different software...
