whats TDM?
Direct Marketing. If you show interest in FCA products they can send you a mailer (hard copy or email) with a discount code. In Feb it amounted to $500 for a JL. Now its 0. Oh well, at least I didn't get hit with the price increase!

my husband works for University hospitals in Twinsburg,Ohio. I briefly saw something about a $500 rebate for employees in a random email. Do you know what is required or how to obtain this? we already ordered and made deal on 2/28.

Companies will have deals with corporations for their employees. Your husband should have an HR site or somewhere that lists these deals and provides information on what the criteria is.

So I just got off the phone with an owner of a local dealer. I actually fairly trust this guy as he is a good friend of my good friend (6 degrees of separation)

He flat out told me that he has 3% of profit below invoice on these cars. He would sell to me for that but he said there is no way a dealer can sell for less than that without losing money. How can all these deals be getting done at 5% and 6%. Is there some sort of high volume discount or is the 3% a fixed number? Just curious.

3% is the hold back and that number is the same for all dealers. so your dealer is telling the truth.

There are lots of ways direct and indirect they make money on these deals. Sometimes they make it up in financing, special incentive programs that are for certain regions, hitting incentive volume targets, high doc fees, or just getting additional allocations they can sell on the lot at higher margins.

@JLWF Dealer Guy Hope all is well. There seems to be a rather large backlog with shipping finished JL's. I am just over a week in KZ (ordered 1/22/18) and I have gone from "shipping approved, no shipping date, ETA March 19-23" to "Shipping approved, shipping date TBD, no ETA". Many others on the forum have been stuck in KZ for weeks. I still can't find my window sticker online and my dealer is just repeating the info I am getting from Jeep Chat. I was wondering if you had any insight on what is going over there in Toledo, the extent of the delays and how can I best get information on my Jeep? Thanks in advance.

Delays? Wow. I ordered mine in early Feb and picked it up early March. I was not expecting it anywhere near that quick. Had to scramble to get everything ready. I assumed things were moving nicely for everyone. Guess I got lucky.

It’s just a delay. There is no word coming out of corporate but I’m assuming the large sold order volume along with the stock unit production is a bit overwhelming for them.

Wish I had more info. I’ll say this. Since I see everybody’s build, there seems no rhyme or reason for the delays. I’ve seen it’s this or that. Truth is, I can’t pick out anything that they all have in common, or even some.
