Agreed- the only way I’d know for sure is to actually see it “in person “ ( so to speak)
Shoot, I was just planning to get Granite and I waited to see it in person too. And gray is pretty easy. The blue and orange photos have looked hard to pin down from what I've seen.

Somebody had mentioned that it would be nice if FCA could put the actual paint on a swatch for dealerships to show the color. I think that was a great idea.

When you paint your house interior or exterior you spend a lot less and get color swatches as you will have to live with it every day. In a vehicle you have to live with it every day as well and this would be nice for FCA to do in the future.
Not a bad idea, but they seem to struggle keeping up with the initial interest in general. I'd still say a swatch is not that great because you'll never have your vehicle inside under metal halide (or whatever) lighting is inside. Plus the curves, etc reflect differently so seeing a whole vehicle outside can have a pretty different impact.

Oh well, those colors will be out more in the wild in the coming months. Although I'm guessing it will always be hard to go to a single dealer to see them all. Maybe trips to different dealers in the same city though. Just my thought.

Opinions vary with some colors, but I agree after seeing several actual images posted here on the forum. Punk’n appears more red than orange to me too. I was originally going to select Punk’n, but after seeing the photos posted- I don’t think it’s what I want.

To be clear , I think color can be a highly subjective thing though. I currently own an 07 Dodge Caliber in “sunburst “ which appears more of a true deep “blood” orange to me with the metallic flake. Looks pretty cool against the black trim and tires - Think Harley Davidson logo colors.

Alternately, images I’ve seen posted of the “nacho” Wrangler color actually seem closer to what I’d call orange than yellow. That’s actually a color I could get behind and I’d absolutely NEVER consider “yellow “ as an option. It’s not a super annoying bright lemon yellow though, but more a bulldozer/ school bus yellow- which is borderline orange tbh.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like Nacho will be happening anytime soon.

I’m not really a huge fan of these new “super bright fluorescent “ colors I see on cars and SUV’s recently.
I would sooo love if my jeep matched our Harley. We have a screamin eagle in original HD colors.Cant wait to pull her out of garage.

That is the great thing about a swatch! You can take it outside in the light! LOL

That's why you paint these "swatches"

Then you can see the paint on different curves, and take it outside for natural light!

That's cool. It honestly you really have to see a color on a jeep.

Dealer guy : I had the "Golden Ticket" that expired Feb. 28th. I missed the deadline by about 8 days. My dealership gave me a song and dance that I had a great deal already and they couldn't do anything to help. I don't think they tried hard. Anything you can recommend to try and get the 500.00 or is it really not happening? Thanks.

I get it on the swatch shape, lighting, etc....Yes, it seems easy enough for them to send a sample kit to dealers. Dealing enough with material samples I'd still recommend seeing a vehicle color in person for that decision.

:)

I love dealers saying this. I bought a Harley back in 08 for MSRP but did not want to pay doc fee and they removed it. They had a special saying 1st oil change free if you purchased in that month which I did. When I went back for a free oil change I was told, "with the deal you got you don't get a free oil change".....

LMAO

Well of course it is better to see the entire vehicle with the paint on it but a swatch gives a hell of a lot better representation than what we have now!

LOL maybe I'm sore since I was leaning nacho/ocean, but pulled the trigger since I could see granite in person!

Yeah, swatches would be easy if they wanted to send them.

Picked up my jeep on sat only to learn today i have a TDM. Called dealer back and gave my info. They said though i do have one it doesn't apply to the 18 JL. Sound fishy? Can't help but believe its the path of least resistance for them.

thoughts please...

They took off the wranglers from the available units for the TDM’s. No bs, just unfortunate
