Agreed, can't really see the happening. Just because they are anyway 3/4k more than the outgoing model. Who knows....

Not sure about that. I seem to recall hearing stories of ordered Jeeps being sold to someone else. There's no contract I'm aware of, you're always free to back out of an order, don't know why the dealership would be obligated to honor the price.

(Obviously I'm not condoning poor behavior, just pointing out it's not inconceivable).

To clarify, did the dealership explain the new JL base price which is an increase over the JK? Or additional price increase? That doesn’t sound legit to me if the JL price is bumped even higher! Call it a mark up if so and ask other dealerships.
