ARIES power side steps vs Rock Slide Engineering?

Has anyone tried the power running boards from ARIES actiontrac.?
Can they handle the off-road beating like the ROCKSLIDES ENGENEERING?

I was going to get them. I had looked at the Rock Slide Eng steps and decided that 300 additional pounds was too much.

The Aries steps are all aluminum and a fraction of the weight of the RSE steps. However, they are not designed to provide protection to the rockers nor will they "take a hit".
