That's expensive AF, shop around for sure. I got a deal from a shop I ran into at an off road expo, I paid $1500 total and that was with the REM polished upgrade.So i got a quote today from a reputable shop.

I did reprogram , it helped with shift points around the city. But still trashDid you reprogram for the larger tize size? If not, that is a major part of the issue.

You do need it. It is the bearings, bolts, shims, etc. required to install the gears. You will need one for each axle (they are different though).Hey guys, thanks for all the replies this thread has been super helpful
While i’m still pricing out i had a shop ask me if I need a master install? What is this and do i need it?
FYI 3 shops now seem to be on the side of 4.88s for my needs and my area.

Thank you sirYou do need it. It is the bearings, bolts, shims, etc. required to install the gears. You will need one for each axle (they are different though).
