I was running 315/70/17s on my sport's stock gears (not ideal) before recently upgrading my axles to rubicon's and I'm pretty pleased so far. I'm sure 4.56 and 4.88's are an improvement still but going from 3.45 to 4.10 is noticeably better for the time being.

If there were 4.30 gears that's the apt one for 35s on JLs. Since that's not a common gear 4.56 is the nearest sweet spot for 35s.

I run 4.56 Nitro gears, on KO2 35s (c-rated f150 raptor tyres). 2" lift
Around town I clock about 16.5 to 17mpg. Highway long drives - 19-19.5ishmpg

Great info, do you clock that mileage around 70mph also?

No problems holding 7th and 8th gears?

Canada/BC speed limits are very low compared to the USA. yep I do clock 19+ on highway speeds of 80km to 100km it starts dropping a tiny bit on 110km+
It holds overdrive 8th gear in varying elevations

Excellent

Do you think 4.56s would’ve been better? Maybe you would lose mid to bottom range ease with 4.56s though huh?
Yes, you trade a little lower grunt around town and on the trails, for a little better fuel economy on the freeway.

I paid $1800ish 2 years ago when I regeared my JK with @Northridge4x4. Sadly they closed the Denver location during the pandemic. I still use them for parts, but not service on things like that. It did not take them 12 hours to mine.

I was running 3.21 and went to 4.56 on 34's on that Jeep and it wa a massive difference. I could actually get up and move. BUT, I am on 4.10's now in the JL and will be swapping to 35's in the next week or so and do not plan on regearing. The 8 Spd trans. makes a massive difference. Granted my 35's and 37's weigh the same. Also, I am running a Pulsar XT Tuner to help.
I'm in the same boat. Northridge is installing a Clayton 1.5in lift, Fox shocks, and 35s in about 3.5 weeks on my JLR. Can't wait.

Will see if I want to up the gears once I give a good break in. Hopefully my lighter weight 2dr won't really need it.
