So you custom ordered your Jeep in 2021, 5 (or going on 5) years ago and you just noticed that thing now, in 2026, 5 years later?
as I mentioned before, given its placement and my seating position it sat outside my field of view like 90% of the time and it just never “registered” in my brain to bother to ask about it. I was getting something out of the jeep when I dropped it in the footwell. In the process of picking it up I was eye to eye with it and that’s when I noticed *how* it was installed and I figured I had the time, I’d finally ask what it was.

as I also said before, the jeep is not my daily driver so I don’t look at it every day as well.

Well if you are married I hope you notice when your wife changes her hairstyle or other subtle things women want you to notice that are more subtle than an odd button on your dash 😂

He repeatedly says he's not a conspiracy theorist, yet he says things extremely reminiscent of a conspiracy theorist:

"There's a camera, now required by law, in 2027, next year, that mandates that all manufacturers have a camera on your eyes."

I'm pretty damn sure he made that up. As always, feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.

My understanding is that the tracking unit(s) is now embedded in uConnect 5, so you'd lose a significant amount of functionality if you ripped it out.

An alternative approach is to simply tell Stellantis to stop tracking you. There's a form you fill out, but I haven't searched for that in a while.

You’re right about it being imbedded into the Uconnect. At least according to my illustrious ai bot.

If you haven't found it yet, try taking a look at the ODB-II connector and where the cable from it goes. You'll probably find the EVTS is connected to the real ODB-II connector and then an extension pass-through was put in its place below the dashboard.

Check your prescription on those coke bottle glasses you have, that is clearly a break peddle pictured not some land line phone from the 80s.
Hard to figure where this thread has gone (serious or comedy) but on the ETVS video, above, the button has a phone receiver on it. Ratbert's eyesight seems to be OK.

I think he was confusing him with Dogbert or Dilbert. Ratbert doesn't even wear glasses.
