Anyone know what this is?

Don’t know why it took me so long to register this thing. But I noticed the way this was mounted today and after checking some stock photos online and can tell it’s NOT OEM. It looks like it has a phone icon on it and as you can see has some wires where it fishes back. Not sure how I remove that interior panel.

The jeep is long since paid off. Wonder if this one of those gps trackers.

any ideas where I can see if where it’s plugged in?

not sure but I finally found a video about how to remove the lower panel below the steering wheel and allows access to the panel where that button is. I will find out where it goes and then rip it out

Well then. I need to find the gps module. Because I managed to find where the cord was plugged into and undid it. It looked like it went up behind the dash/touch screen and I wasn’t interested in that in messing with that at this time of day lol. But I know I didn’t ask for this crap when I had my jeep ordered to my spec. Oh well. After finding a video on how to remove the panels it took me all of five seconds to undo it.

I’ll take this for now as it makes the dash not look like crap anyomore.

Same. But to be completely honest, the Jeep is my fun vehicle so everytime I drive it to do fun things I don’t….”see” it if that makes sense. I only notice it really when I see the blue light blink. And I only notice the blink when I’m getting out.

I'm surprised they're still in business. I remember when the LoJacks first hit the market. One of the police depts. in our system made a few impressive stolen car recoveries and arrests using LoJack.

I'm a bit surprised that is how it is supposed to be installed. Every picture I've seen of it, every video I've watched has those exposed wires and the button just stuck in place.

The one posted video about Mopar EVTS is what it is. I just need to go locate the gps module when I have a minute but I got rid of the ugly emergency call button that did jack and shyte

That is an emergency call button for the LoJack system.

• Direct Law Enforcement Contact: With a single tap, the app can locate and connect you to the appropriate law enforcement agency based on your current location or the location of the theft.

Disconnecting the button doesn't disable the system. You have to pull the main module for that. You can contact LoJack with your VIN number and they will tell you if is there is an active subscription on the module.
