  1. Service Electronic Throttle Control Resolutions

Removing the cab has become ever more increasingly common on a lot of cars, it doesn’t surprise me on the ecodiesel as it becomes more and more crowded under the hood.
  2. JL Tailgate Retainer issue?

I ordered the replacement part and it was back ordered 6 weeks. So I pulled the passenger tail light, to look at what was going on. When I did I noticed that the tub of the Jeep is wide open to the elements and it had got some mud up in there from a water crossing I did a week earlier. So I...
  3. What’s in your Rear Cargo Space?

On the booster cables thought: I stored mine back there too. That was until my sweet wife left it in gear and didn’t shut the ignition off. I came out the next morning and the battery was dead. Well you can get in the front doors with the manual key, but you cannot get in the rear tailgate when...
  4. Stranded! (Vent)

How many JL owners have been left stranded by your JL, or even worse being left stranded again and again by poor communication and empty promises. Stranded! I drove acrross town the other day, hoped in the Jeep (it started right up) got to my location and 3-4 hours later I hop back in and no...
  5. % of Diesels with major problems?

8500 miles on my EcoDiesel. Three long trail rides, eastern Oklahoma, Lake City, Colorado, and a few trails in Utah. This is an awesome trail motor, actually it's awesome for anything under 60 mph. However everytime I go I'm loaded pretty heavy.
  6. 3rd Row Wrangler????

The email clearly says the most awarded, is that really a Cherokee?
  7. EcoDesiel Thoughts

The funny thing for me with my EcoDesiel is that I have never got anything close to the 29 hwy mileage. It is so much fun to drop my foot on the throtle I gave up on trying to get the mileage on the window sticker. I was careful on a long drive once and got 27-28 once just to see if it was...
  8. EcoDesiel Thoughts

I have had codes pop up, with in the first hundred miles, it was concerning to me: however, nothing since. It's still new and more may come, but whole family can come along with me in this rig where the CJ and YJ wouldn't allow for any more people then the driver and one passenger. The JK didn't...
  9. EcoDesiel Thoughts

The desiel has completely different transmission than it's gassy brother.
  10. EcoDesiel Thoughts

I used to agree with you, but I'm finding the change easier then I imagined.
  11. EcoDesiel Thoughts

I have seen many conversations asking if the EcoDesiel engine was worth the extra cost. My thought is absolutly yes and it has nothing to do with fuel economy. This is so much fun to drive then the the old 4.0 Liter six in my first Jeep, as well as more fun then the 3.6 in my 2017 Wrangler...
  12. Airing up tires after off roading?

My tank is 9x9x28 it has to sit upright so I have it attached to the back of the rear seats. I think I paid $60 for a little regulator on Amazon and 15 for a airhose kit.
  13. Airing up tires after off roading?

CO2 or ARB compressor? I have asked myself this a hundred times. I currently use a CO2 tank that I lease and fill from the local welding supply store. I have a 15 lbs tank and I have filled my tires from 18 psi to 40 psi 12-15 times, the tank is still about 1/3 full. I have heard a lot of...
  14. 2.0 vs. 3.0 Diesel

The EcoDiesel on the trail is superb, it excels beyond any other power plant that is offered. I have had the EcoDiesel on the trail 4 times in the 4 months that I have owned it and it is awesome. This is my third jeep and this is the most fun to drive. The control on the trail that the torque...
  15. JL Tailgate Retainer issue?

Anyone have an issue with their Tailgate Retainer. My tailgate wouldn’t shut the other day, and the only way to get it closed was to unbolt that piece from the tailgate. Is this a common issue? Is there any diagram on how to replace this piece?
  16. Service Electronic Throttle Control Resolutions

Dealer checked it out, and made sure the batteries were charged and I haven’t had any problem with it since. I’ve put on 4000 miles in the last 45 days.
  17. Service Electronic Throttle Control Resolutions

As long as there is confidence in the resolution to the problem, I’m willing to let them take their time.
  18. Service Electronic Throttle Control Resolutions

No, one foot at a time, one pedal at a time.
