Im still not clear on which wheels are the default and which are the upgrade. I got the A/Ts and the LSD, and I received the below wheels:

Based on the website, I was supposed to get:

Jeep Wrangler JL Anti-Spin Differential upload_2018-3-2_14-35-15

It was not a dealbreaker, as I actually prefer the former, but was this correct?

The anti-spin differential can now be ordered without having to get the more expensive wheels and the all terrain tires.
I ordered mine in January and didn’t have to upgrade wheels and it automatically upgrades tire to Wrangler Kevlar AT.

Ok. Just to clarify. Does adding the ASD require a wheel change on Sport models? The website has never made me do that when crafting a build.

I believe the top photo is Standard Wheels, and the bottom is Upgrade Wheels.

So, if the LSD and A/T tires forces wheel upgrade, then did I get short-changed by the factory when I got the standard wheels?

The top picture is the standard wheels "Polished Wheels W/ Grey Spokes"

The bottom picture are the upgraded wheels "Tech Gray Polished Face Wheels" at a cost of 895.00

So if you payed the 895.00 for the "Tech Gray Polished Face Wheels" (check your sticker) then you need to go back to dealer

It doesn’t upgrade the wheels on a sport just the tires to the Diartrac Kevlar AT - if you select LSD it will show in the screen replacing the tires you still have to pay to upgrade wheels.

I noticed a lot of jeeps on lots had the LSD upgrade without the updated wheels despite the window sticker having the updated wheels in the price. kind of ticked me off and led me to ordering.

No, DSA/LSD force A/T tires, not the wheel upgrade (which it mistakenly does on the web configurator). So unless you paid the additional amount (800$ or whatever) for these wheels, you’re good ;)

The anti-spin differential with the Dana 44 HD rear axle. This feature is essentially lockers for the differential? Newbie approximation, but need to know.

No, locking diffs 'lock' both wheels to the same RPM, limited-slip diffs attempt to equalize torque between the wheels-regardless of RPM differences.

This link explains the different types of diffs pretty well:
http://www.offroaders.com/tech/limited-slip-lockers-differentials.htm

Lockers are solely for off-road situations (in 4-low only) where one wheel is off the ground (climbing rocks, basically), whereas LSD works in 2-hi, 4-hi, and 4-low to maintain traction when one wheel is slipping on mud/sand/ice/snow/whatever. It's worth noting that open diffs (base axles on sport/sahara if you don't select the LSD, and every other vehicle made in the past decade) can simulate the effect of the LSD by braking the slipping wheel, but the experience is jerky and unpredictable compared to the LSD. When you need to merge onto an icy road (for instance), the last thing you want is the computer applying brakes for you.

Just a warning that while the article is helpful, it's author does not know the difference between lose and loose. While I can look past many grammatical errors, this one makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit.
