Anyone have any experience with the Diesel Dudes? They are very responsive and seem legit. I’ve looked and researched GDE, Reckless, and EOC and there seems to be a lot of opinions on all of them, I haven’t found much on Diesel Dudes.

Sorry, I don’t have any experience with the Diesel Dudes. That being said, I can tell you that the GDE team is absolutely legit. They have many years of experience with our 3.0 engines and know them inside and out. I think some of them even worked on the platform for Dodge/Jeep.

Picking a tune is tough. Do your homework (which it sounds like you are) and trust your gut.

Good Luck!

Never heard of them.

From what I can tell, there seems seems to be two major tunes available that everyone is pushing. The MRTuning tune, and the Reckless tune.

Obviously the reckless tune is provided by Reckless Motorsports. One thing I have noticed about the reckless Motorsports crew, is that they are clearly in direct competition with EOC. They seem to change their website name every other week. For a while there it was a play on the EOC name, The guy has multiple videos on YouTube where he basically says how the EOC tune is trash. I'm not sure his tune is any bit better than anyone else's, but he seems to think it is, however I haven't seen or met anyone who actually has the Reckless tune. So it's kind of hard to tell if it's any good.

GDE, obviously they do their own thing, Though good luck getting the illicit stage 2 tune from them.

Then you have EOC, they actually run the MRTuning tune as well, nothing special there. It's just an MRTuning tune sold through EOC.

Then you have the Tuner Depot version which is also THE MRTuning tune.

There's a few others who I can't currently find, but they seem to be running the MRTuning tune as well.

You can also get a local diesel shops tune, which would end up being a customed tune, however those tend to be significantly more expensive.

From personal experience, I would just go with whoever has the cheapest tune available. Be aware if you do go with an EOC tune, you will eat DEF like crazy with their stage 1 tune, so depending what state you live in, it might make sense to do some illegal shit. 🤷‍♂️:headbang::rock::like:;)

I've always wanted to try the Reckless Motorsports tune, however the gentleman seems to be very flip-floppy. There's a couple of his YouTube videos where people call him out for issues they've had with their tune, and he pretty much shuns them. So I'm not sure I would want to go with that guy, simply because if I do have an issue with a tune from him, I'm not sure he would back his work or if he would just throw me under the bus.

In my personal opinion, EOC is both a good price, and a quality product. Again if you do go with them, be aware you're going to be eating DEF like crazy with their stage 1 tune. I fill up my DEF tank at my local Buc-ee's which happens to have the least expensive DEF I've found anywhere for the last two or three years.. I tend to fill up my DEF tank once every six fuel-ups.

If you do plan on doing a stage 2 tune at any point, do yourself a favor and don't tell people about it. Remember, it's still federally illegal. Hopefully that will change at some point in the future, but until them, you probably shouldn't admit that you're breaking federal laws! ;):movember:

... Sorry for the rant, it's an Everclear night!
