Recently went to Iceland and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't gone. Everyone was friendly and a ton of scenic spots.

Its hard to miss these off-road capable vehicles as they are all over the place

To start, this is the vehicle fiancé and I rented, Suzuki Jimny. Not a lot of power but it did its job and it looks super cool. Like a baby G-Wagon.

Now for the interesting stuff......

AEV has a big presence over there. Rubicon with massively wide fenders and tires

Lastly, the offroader that took us on a Northern Lights tour. Tires were 40x15.5 haha

Additional photo of the Northern lights where I proposed ?

We went to Iceland for our anniversary a few years ago - 8 days on the ground. It was *amazing*. I'd go back in a heartbeat if I could.

This was my best "off-road find" - beefiest church van I've ever seen - the onboard air with cables was nuts, so they could air up or down on command.

There were a few rigs like these on an Icelandic TV series I watched, looks like they'd be a ton of fun in the snow. Sounds like a great vacation.

I have to wonder where they found the inspiration for the grill / headlights on the Jimmyy???

It would be cool if we could get the Suzuki Jimmys. ?

They look pretty cool.
You can. A company called Mini Trucks of Texas specializes in obtaining off market and foreign vehicles for US residents. They also do custom builds upon request, and they deliver right to your driveway.

Litebrite recently obtained 2 trucks, including a Suzuki Jimney...

Congrats on the engagement. How were the Northern Lights? How was the weather there? My wife was in Fairbanks Alaska a couple of weeks ago and saw them there. She said I would have loved Alaska in the summer, but not now, when it's so cold.

Aside from the incredible beauty of Iceland, I was most fascinated with the ways they build up their vehicles. The air inflation systems were cool, some professional, some home-made. Also, very few vehicles I saw had winches up front, most have a cool tow hook in a receiver. a lot of lights also, they see a lot of darkness in the winter there.

Thank you!
Northern lights were something else!
We went at the end of winter/beginning of spring and in my opinion couldn't have been better because we still go to be in snow but it was also sunny and relatively cool weather and not as cold ⛄
We are definitely going back!
