one of these days I will clean and oil my gats but I really never do..I had a 92F and a 96F that I put about a million rounds thru and never cleaned them..I have lost count of the rounds I have put thru my G34 and never ever clean or oil it....I am saving money lol.....this place is about a few miles from my front door...cost $5 per vehicle to use...super nice and they have some super long rifle ranges...this is just a portion of the range that I normally use as never see anyone there...

I just came home from my buddy’s house next door. We spent all day slinging hot lead downrange; it was glorious!!!

That is, until he pulled this out of a box of others, and gave it to me.

It instantly threw me into an existential crisis. “Is there no escape from this horror?? IT’S EVERYWHERE!!! AAAAAARRGH!” my inner voice was screaming.

I‘m now sipping a smooth IPA, pondering my next move…

I've been using that for years...

On your Fat Bob??
LOL- no on all my rifles, handguns and shotguns...
It works quite well at removing fouling and carbon...
FWIW- when it comes to gun lube I was using Amsoil long before I ever found out they made a cleaner...
I always have about 1/2 qt of 20W50 left over after I change my bike oil so I started putting it in a squeeze bottle and have been using that to lube ARs and 1911s for 20 years...

Frank, I was kidding about your HD.😉

Have you tried lithium grease, especially on your long guns? We used that almost exclusively on our unit’s crew-served weapons, and also occasionally on our individual weapons.

I have actually...
I liked lithium grease on muzzle loaders but it seems easier and less messy to just apply a couple drops of oil on my other rifles..

Amsoil is good product - for my smokeless power stuff just may give it a shot.

I know that range, I shoot matches there once a year in the Long Range 1000’ F-Class match.
