What would be the recommended low PSI on the stock, non-bead-locked 35s for off-roading?

I was romping around at 15psi without a worry in the world all weekend. I’m on stock 33’s but whatever it’ll be similar. I’ve ran 12 psi without an issue too. At 14.7 psi you’ve got twice the air in the tire than it can hold empty. My friend is running 12 psi on 35x12.5x15 so I don’t think you need to worry at or above that. All depends on what you’re looking for. I get a 1/4” clearance change from 20-18 psi…

Thanks! Just wanted to be sure. My previous was simulated methods and they had an extra lip, I was able to air down to 6 PSI.

Depends on terrain and speed. At least 12, maybe 8, maybe 6. Try it and see, reseating a bead isn’t as hard as most think it is…

Not enough info to recommend specifically, but from a risk perspective, 15psi is a safe number. Can go lower for more serious rock crawling but gathering from your post... you are just starting out off-roading and you won't be immediately be subjecting your 392 to extreme conditions. If 15psi isn't gripping then try 12 or 10. Go experiment.

Go out and air down and see what you are feeling and learn... air down another 3-5psi and see if you notice the difference. If not serious rock crawling and just running on rough trails, 15psi should be just fine.

Other non-serious reasons to air down lower, sand and snow…
