Something else no one has mentioned is the overall low range gearing for off road use. The 392s come with the 2.72:1 transfer case gearing. If you are used to the 4:1 transfer case gearing of a regular Rubicon, the 2.72:1 gearing of a 3,92 isn't very low. In the most technical off road terrain it could stand to be geared lower in low range. I'm glad I have the 4.56 gears in my 392. I would think 3.73 gears would make the more technical terrain seem even a little more difficult than it already is.

I didn’t like the 4:1 on my JKUR with a 6MT it was just too low. Had to shift a lot and couldn’t keep up with other jeeps. 1st in the zf8 with 35’s in 4l at 2.72:1 with 3.73 is a very slow crawl and easily enough to walk up any obstacle. For me at least. Off-road+ is awesome in 4L also…. Really helps.
