Is the AEV and the Bilstein 5100 the same steering stabilizer, just rebranded?
AEV claims it is specially tuned for AEV - as they claim with every shock they sell. If there is a difference or not, I don't know. I doubt it is a substantial difference.

I would like to ask if anyone has managed install the AEV steering damper with the Teraflex relocation bracket.

My Wrangler is a RHD model. When I was installing them the bolt of the Teraflex clamp did not go through the sleeve on the damper. I had to remove the bushings and use two half bushings and a completely new sleeve from another car in order to make it work. I torqued everything to spec as on the install manual and used blue loctite.

However on my last drive i noticed that the bolt had come out and lost it along the way. Has anyone managed to make this combination work? Or can suggest another solution to this problem?

Long term update. Just about three years back I installed the AEV unit. Still works as good today as it did when first put on. Had it off this weekend to drop the tierod for a regear and it still has plenty of pressure. The only negative I have is the finish, it is starting to rust. Not unexpected, my experience with Bilstein in these parts is the zinc coating does not survive the salt from winter driving. Regardless, great bang for the buck!
