are these Onyx?
Found this in a later post.

Satin black with the rings powder coated to match the black clear coat on Jeep - couldn’t be happier with how these came out. Love the onyx but wanted something different, the galaxy is nice too but too much shine against black clear.

Better photos below.

I ordered 5 JK Borah’s for my JL, AEV said the JK version was being discounted. I wanted Galaxy but couldn’t piece together a set of 5.

JK versions for sure fit the JL? which finish did you get and where did you buy them discounted?

They fit, I've been running them for over 2 years.

You do need slim lug nuts though as the stock JL ones are a bit too large.

I had bought these when I was running the JK spec borahs and worked perfectly.
I am selling my set if you are interested. PM me and we can work a deal :fist bump:

I see you're in CA and I'm in NC...shipping will likely be a killer.

I think it was Morris4x4 or OK4wd or something like that, look up the part numbers and Google them.

Decided to go back to the JL spec Borahs but went with 35 inch Ridge Grapplers

I also finally added the rash rings that I had painted black a couple of months ago and added black bolts and washers instead of the supplied silver AEV ones thanks to @woodlift in this thread :fist bump:

Again, cannot thank you all enough who posted in this thread. Really helped me decide which direction to go. Hoping these pics help the next person with their next wheel setup
Another OCD update:

Decided to give the Mickey Thompsons Baja Pro XS 35x13.5 tires a shot because of their aggressive tread and width. Still running the JL spec Borahs

1.5 inch lift

What I like about this set up is it really closed the gap between the outer edge of the bumper and inside of the tire wall and best part there is no rubbing on the LCA's even at full lock.

Just wanted to post in case anyone decided to go with the Baja Pro XS tires.

You don't need them you can run stock lug nuts you just need a thin walled socket. That's what I'm doing.

Here's some pics of my JL spec Onyx AEVs with different setups. No rings here:

Vs with satin black painted protection rings and black button head bolts:

I'm having an issue with the new bolts rusting (I've tried painting them already). Not sure what else to do; might have to order the OE ones from AEV instead.

Yep. The diesel, 37s, and 4.63 gears make a great combo. Light years ahead of my previous manual 3.6L JLUR with 4.10 gears.
Ratbert: did your dealer negotiate on the AEV JL370 kit, or did you pay full AEV sticker price for that? Thanks. I have a diesel JLUR on the way and I’m trying to decide if I want to send to AEV (via the dealer) or just have the dealer add on what I want (they’re authorized AEV). I’m not sure I need new gearing with the diesel. I’ll do 37” KO2s. What’s your opinion on your regear? Otherwise, my JL will be exactly a JL370.
