Finally got the new caps and turn signals on, and expanded the project a bit with some Baja S2s, amber marker lights below the Bajas, and white markers under the mirror as a puddle/courtesy light. Hardware installed today, still need to wire it all up.

Also the Euro-spec mirrors have different convex areas than US-spec, they both have convex areas on the outer parts. I found this gives a huge improvement in visibility on the driver's mirror especially.
Great idea and thanks for sharing. I’d also be interested to learn more about the convex areas and the improvement in visibility. Can you share more info on this and your perspectives? Also wonder if their is a separate part number for just the mirrors, heated and unseated. Heck, the $300 might be worth it on the improved visibility alone.

Might be an odd question but would you happen to know the screw size to attach the turn signals to the caps? I have all the parts but those and thought maybe I could save some time going to hardware store and buying different sizes if I could find the answer.

Unfortunately not sure on the exact size. SInce the signal lights annoyingly didn’t come with screws, I had to just rummage through my workbench ‘junk drawer’ to find 4 random small (maybe 3/8” or 1/2” long) pan-head philips wood screws that worked.

Same here, no screws, thank you though.

What did you use for the puddle light?

Cheap leds from Amazon: Partsam 3/4” smoked lens white led marker grommet light for the puddles (same light but in amber for the front-facing markers that will tie in with the fog lights). They’re not super bright like a set of rock lights, but good enough to see the side steps and any puddles when entering/exiting.

Also hoping for the right screws to mount these leds to the mirror caps if anyone has found part numbers or know what will work good. Thanks!

Do the Baja's interfere with the power mirror? I though the Baja was 3+ inches in depth or is the replacement cap with the turn signal larger? Also are you happy with the light veering off to the side like that? was that your intention? Have you completed the wiring? Any pics posted all lit up? Anyway it looks good. Great job!

This right here with the Baha is exactly what I have been wanting. I didnt know if there would be enough room to add a light in these compared to the caps from a JK that come with lights already. Looks great!!

Hello Jon, This is a simple and a great mod for just over $100. For the side lights I ordered ( they haven't arrived yet) it appears it takes plug to connect the circuit. I see you have a plug in one of your pictures. May I ask where you got it? (plus part number)

Does having the ASG complicate the possibility of adding the side marker lights to my mirrors?
