Just wanted to drop a quick review for those interested in these sliders. I know there are several threads on these already but I wanted to offer a perspective as I have now owned these on a Gladiator and a Wrangler.
First off I LOVED these on the Gladiator which is why I chose to get them again in the Wrangler. I was a victim of the snapped body mount bolt on my gladiator that was a nightmare to get repaired, also the bolts at that time were 35 dollars a piece to order new.
The main difference going from using this on the gladiator to the wrangler is the “step” use of these. On the gladiator the exterior rail portion goes all the way past the rear door opening making them an adequate step for rear passengers. However, on the Wrangler the exterior rail only covers about half of the rear door opening and the door causes interference with the rear passengers trying to use just that part of the step. Aesthetically I can see why they did what they did, but for practicality purposes it would have made more sense to bring the exterior rail further back so rear passengers could take more advantage of using it as a step.
Also just to mention these have gone up EXORBITANTLY in the last year. I know inflation is here but they have jacked these up hundreds of dollars in less than a year.
I know these are technically sliders and not steps, but many are looking for dual purpose. They are very well made, they look great, they are an excellent slider. However anyone looking for dual purpose may be better off looking at LOD.
Anyways, happy Jeepin!
Picture attached so people see what I mean regarding the rear as a “step.”
