A/C not working?

We're in BigBend... Afternoons are getting into triple digits... 1st summer with a Jeeps...
My a/c doesn't seem to be able to keep up - sweating while driving. Even while driving highway speeds (airflow) at night (no radiant).
Is the a/c on these things unable to keep up in hot temps (due to hardtop, etc)? Or might I have an issue?
It's a '23 JLUR 4xe, stock (except rook rack & toad pieces), white.
I'll measure temp diff. across the a/c when I get home. Just curious if this is a known issue...

Been to Big Bend a few times. Had freakishly bad luck with my rides every time.

The AC in jeeps seem a bit anemic to me at times...

Something has to be wrong. I have a 3.6 and not the 4XE but that shouldn't matter. Mine is just as cold as any of our other vehicles.

Hmmm, I'm in the Arizona desert, and my AC has worked great. I seldom run the fan on high, just set it to Auto at 74 degrees. Always quite comfortable. However, I have a 2 door, so less space to cool than a more-door version.

I had a weird thing happen with my cabin air filter located behind the glovebox that was restricting the air flow. Have you checked that to make sure it’s positioned correctly? I have a 2023 as well and it blows freakishly cold to me even when down in the desert. It’s not the 4XE though, so I’m not sure how those are set up.

Haven't tried specifically running the A/C, I just set the climate control to 69 in the summer and let Auto do the rest.

We are in SW FL, with mid-90s and high humidity - a double whammy to any AC unit. My Jeep is a four door with SOT; black canvas a few inches from my head. I set my AC at 68 or “Lo,” and it cools down brilliantly. I have to turn the fan down to low when it cools down.

Pull the air cabin air filter. It is behind the glove box. I had an issue with my ac starting to blow flakes of ice then just wasn't getting cold at all. The cabin air filter was caked with sand from being on the beach.

I’m in Deep South Texas, yesterday we touched 100°. I can feel heat coming through the hardtop but the AC did well enough to where I wasn’t sweating. The thin top lets lots of heat in. There are products to try and lessen this like hot heads and various other liners.

I have a soft top and the AC works great. I’d definitely check the cabin filter. Also, you do have the AC button clicked on? Maybe recirculate would help as well on hot days.

Even with an un-insulated hardtop in the sun and moving at speed, cold temps (20-30 degrees below ambient, at least) should be coming out of the air vents.

To me this sounds like a refrigerant leak. If not in a line, sometimes little stones/road debris will blow a hole in the condenser and cause a very slow leak. Your AC will get warmer and warmer until the low pressure switch won't activate the system anymore in hopes of saving the compressor.
