I made a 2200 mile trip to OK and TX over the weekend, and on the return half, I was pulling a small trailer. My mileage averaged 19.7 over the 2200 miles. I just wish it had another 50 hp. In Texas hill country I spent most of my time in 4th or 5th gear. (6 spd manual)
Hmmm, I'm in the Arizona desert, and my AC has worked great. I seldom run the fan on high, just set it to Auto at 74 degrees. Always quite comfortable. However, I have a 2 door, so less space to cool than a more-door version.
No, I highly doubt it. Software updates won't correct heat related issues. There is likely a defective IC, solder joint, or bad capacitor in the computer... I'd bet they are going to have to replace it.
Best of luck with it.
Because the problem seems to be heat related, and because the TPMS screen is totally missing but available via UConnect, I suspect the computer that drives the display is defective. The displays themselves don't have the ability to omit particular functions, nor would that fault be caused by a...
For my 2 Door I went with the frame mounted units from Shrockworks. Very pleased so far. Good fit and finish, simple to install. They were around 800 bucks.
I live in Mesa Arizona, and in the hotter months, I also will see mid 20's for oil pressure after I've been driving a while or sitting in traffic. I think the lowest I've seen was 24psi, on a motor with less than 2000 miles on it. (2022 Rubicon)
I had the same thing with my Tacoma, it would idle...
I do not hate my Pentastar. It's a good engine and should provide many years of reliable service if properly maintained and not abused. However, it's far from perfect.
For those who are annoyed by the lifter and valve train clatter at start up, (I was too) I have found a way to improve the...
Yeah, those batteries are junk. They tend to fail more often on Jeeps that are used for short trips or commutes. I plan on removing the one in my Jeep altogether, as I have the start stop function disabled anyway.
Okay, I'll be the odd man out on this one. I've owned a handful of Corvettes over the years, and when I ordered my 2011 Grand Sport, I also paid for the privilege of watching it go down the assembly line and prior to that, participating in the building of the engine at the GM plant in Wixom MI...
If you are planning to keep it basically stock, the steel bumper option would be a good way to go.
I have the HotHeads headliner, and a buddy has the OEM MOPAR headliner. We both find there is a noticeable difference in heat buildup and road noise between the two, with the HotHeads product...
Alkapin, In Vancouver you can get them at Canadian Tire or Princess Auto, or any good auto parts store. You can get a plastic box with assorted sizes for under 10 bucks. They are called round rubber grommets.
To ensure the seal, use butyl caulk tape, which in your area is commonly called dumdum.
I had the same issue. To the best of my knowledge, from what I could glean from the owners manual, the only two ports that support music playback are the one in the dash and inside the console. The rear ports can't be used for music playback.
