I know people get tired of me saying this but check the cabin air filter. It can get clogged and make a huge difference on the ability for the Jeep to cool down the cabin. The Air filter is behind the glove box.

Pull the air cabin air filter. It is behind the glove box. I had an issue with my ac starting to blow flakes of ice then just wasn't getting cold at all. The cabin air filter was caked with sand from being on the beach. Good Luck!

that is the soft opener for the glove box. First thing that broke on my JL.... and I threw it away. it usually breaks when you change the in cabin air filter.

To me this sounds like you have a bad feed line. Like what roaniecowpony I would try the radio with a different antenna. There is a chance that somewhere along the line (even at the manufacturer the braid and center conductor are touching.
