It's just amazing. I decided to go ahead and add the steel bumper...boom...another 1200 bucks. I need a loop thing for the bumper...300 dollars.....a low profile winch.....1200 dollars. What in the world does everyone in here do for a living?
I know what you mean!!! I remember a while back a couple of people talking about how they had spent almost $10K on aftermarket stuff before even taking delivery of their Wranglers. Plenty of others don't use it as a daily-driver, it's just a $50K+ toy for when they feel like playing with it. No disrespect intended to those who can afford to do so.

If it makes you feel any better now that you were able to add the options, there's an old saying, penny wise, pound foolish. This is one of those areas. Don't skip the tow package if you plan on adding aux kit, don't skip the 8.4 package if you care about anything technology related, don't skip cold weather if you care about being warm (aftermarket seats are great if you have a good installer; good luck finding one), etc. It's all silly expensive from the factory, but when you factor in time and headache trying to do it after, you might as well just bite the proverbial bullet. You've saved 'money' in the end, as long as you measure all aspects of 'money' with rigor.

Same goes for if you want the soft top - order with dual top and sell the hard top. That way your rig has the wiring/plumbing for the hard top if you/future owner want to switch back.

Thank you for writing this post. I hope I can change my order, because what you said here makes perfect sense. I think I'm going to go ahead and even add the factory steel bumper. Might as well do it now instead of adding it later and having to get it mounted and everything.

I do not plan on towing with the rubi, so is there any real reason to add that package? The only thing I may do is to add a light bar and a winch later.

Yes - you get the factory-installed AUX switches. That's the only reason I ordered with the tow package, better integration of switches for lights/accessories.

The Towing Package adds a larger capacity alternator, an increased amperage battery, trailer wiring (can be used for accessories), towing hitch (centered recovery point), and auxiliary switches. Adding any of those features after delivery will be expensive. One of the better priced optional packages.

I don't know what status D is, but you just made a class A response.
What a class A response? Asking because I’m in D44 status.

Never heard of D44. Go to the tracking section, and look for the thread “Dummies guide to JL order status “ it gives the breakdown of all the codes.

going by the dealership first thing on Monday morning. Doing research. It *looks* like I can add the 8.4 inch screen AND get the alpine audio for "free".

AND I also appears that IF I add the cold weather package, I will get the garage opener for free and maybe the auto start, but that's too good to be true, I would think.
Did you order the 2.0 or 3.6? You also get Active Noise Canceling with the 2.0 if you get the 8.4" screen and Alpine.

Active noise cancellation is supposed to come with anything that has the Alpine upgrade.

My 2019 sport s w 7inch radio has off road pages in the hud... not the radio. Personally I like them there better.

Nav can be had with android auto or apple CarPlay

Oh good. I started to get the impression off road pages was only available in the rubicon. Good to know it’s in the Sport with 7” upgrade. Probably no offroad pages with the standard instrument cluster with the 5” radio though.

I thought that also. Turns out it's not true. I asked Jeep Cares and they verified and confirmed with engineers and product specialist. Active Noise Canceling is only on the 2.0 Turbo with the 8.4" screen and Alpine. I thought they were wrong and they reconfirmed a second time that ANC is only equipped with the 2.0 with 8.4". Apparently the 3.6 has better noise vibration and harshness (NVH) qualities so it's not needed.
