Thank you for writing this post. I hope I can change my order, because what you said here makes perfect sense. I think I'm going to go ahead and even add the factory steel bumper. Might as well do it now instead of adding it later and having to get it mounted and everything.

I do not plan on towing with the rubi, so is there any real reason to add that package? The only thing I may do is to add a light bar and a winch later.
Since I want a different bumper than what is offered from the factory, I skipped that. Why spend $$$ on something that you will take off within a year? So, before getting the bumper added, consider whether you will replace it in the near future.

Did you order the 2.0 or 3.6? You also get Active Noise Canceling with the 2.0 if you get the 8.4" screen and Alpine.
I thought the active noise cancelling came with the infotainment upgrade regardless.

That's what I thought too. I looked at the ordering guide, and it does say it only comes with the 2.0 engine.

It's just amazing. I decided to go ahead and add the steel bumper...boom...another 1200 bucks. I need a loop thing for the bumper...300 dollars.....a low profile winch.....1200 dollars. What in the world does everyone in here do for a living?

Now the winch will be heavy and make the front of the Jeep squat lower than the back. You'll need a leveling kit to straighten that back up, but you might as well just do a lift since the cost are similar. But don't cheap out on the lift, get the good stuff otherwise you're just asking for trouble.
But that will leave you with a huge wheel gap though, and that will require larger wheels to fill that gap which you might as well do while you got your credit card out.
Of course you'll need a matching spare, but it's heavy so you'll also need the tailgate reinforcement kit.
Don't forget to regear your axles otherwise pushing those huge wheels at highway speeds is going to be a beast.
Remember your speedo will be off now, so you need a Tazer JL to correct that.
Those Aux switches that come with the tow package are going to really bother you if you don't have something plugged into them, so you'll need some lights and stuff.

See how expensive that winch got?
It's my first Jeep and I already know it's a hole in the driveway to dump my money in. The domino effect of one little upgrade.

I was taking that question to be a little more rhetorical, but I'll play along.

I was a data management architect/manager so I made sure the user got the correct data they needed to do their actual work.

You get HD radio too.
And, interface on 8.4” is way better. Wish I would have done sahara vs sport to get the 8,4”.

you should be on one of those home buying shows where the couple is looking for a house and their budget is like 1.3 million. When the hosts asks what s/he does for a living it's something like a part time hamster salesman.
