So, you just did the YouTube "repair" where you remove the goo and re-assemble?For those following this thread, I performed the job yesterday. True to myself, it took me a few hours because I like to take my sweet time.
Just a tip, 70% alcool works 3-4 times better than goo gone for the glue removal. I had both on hand and wasn’t satisfied with the goo gone performance. The alcool worked perfectly.
Actually I also changed the screen itself. For $35 I figured I couldn’t go wrong and should the new screen not work, I would have cleaned the original one and put it back on. But everything works perfectly.So, you just did the YouTube "repair" where you remove the goo and re-assemble?
