I'm thinking the part that opens slides back and you can remove the material easily. This way you can either just cruise around with it bunched up - or remove the bunched up part from the track and stow it below (along with the windows).

What happened to the rumored glass panels for the hard top? Just by the name, I was assuming that the fiberglass freedom panels found on the JK, would be (optionally ?) replaced with glass panels (like a late 70's TransAm?).

I wonder about insulation in the soft and hard tops? the soft top looks tight I wonder if it is insulated to bring down the noise level and up the luxury level. And I wonder if the hard top is going to get a head liner? any thoughts?

I was going back through the dealer info thread today and saw this for interior options:
  • CHD – MOPAR High Headliner

I feel the same way. Doors off, top on is great, maybe also with sun shining in thru clear sunroof panels.

Yeah it's funny that on all the JKs now, the headliner is almost a given installed option on the higher end JKs. I can't imagine the headliner being anything but an option (charged for it) going forward.

I didn't get it on my 17 JK. Never had one before and didn't think I needed it.

I was writing this post on one of the topics not bad from putting it here and I hope you are in the right place.

-------
In our region there is no great importance to specifications and standards .. Good and bad enters our region
But the local trader is the least expensive import and sell at a high price,
The bad thing is that the customer goes to Toyota, which offers all the options and all the engines to give you the freedom to choose.

Today I sent an email to the local agent and the message was about providing the diesel engine with the rear hook to pull the trailer and some work .. FCA should pay attention to those who might spoil all this great work Project JL

Hi. What we've seen so far is the soft top JL rear quarter window seems to align properly with the front door window but with the JLU soft top the rear quarter window seems not to line up with the rear door window. It appears too low.

Is this by design or just early production samples?

Thank you.

I have three questions/concerns about the new soft tops:
1. I have the same concern about the lack of rear window alignment in the JLU noted above.
2. There appears to be significant sagging of the soft top above the rear window in nearly all of the uncovered pre-production JLUs I've seen (see below). Is this going to be present in production vehicles?

3. Will the new top likely take less time to take down than the JKU soft top

Will the soft tops have a tailgate bar? Is access to the cargo area quick and easy without removing/replacing bar?

Could you please let us know how easily the windows are removed and replaced and how easily the soft top is lowered and raised compared to JK?

I’d also like to know how quiet the ride is and how much wind buffeting there is with soft top up and down vs. JK.

Thanks in anticipation!
