I'll do that and really appreciate the guidance.
Is there any reason a dealer would intentionally delay submitting my order? I keep getting back “corrected” configuration previews every few days. I tell them the same stuff each time but my paint color changes or they change the top selected. Last time they said it was submitted and today I got another “corrected” preview with missing options.

Reach out to your dealer and ask for the “priced order confirmation” a few days after order, which will show the vehicle order number and the VIN, as well as the current build status.

Then you can reach out to FCA chat every so often for updates on the order.

A dealer may batch the orders, meaning they may have a que they submit at a time. After the VIN is assigned there's a limited amount of time in which the dealer can make any changes. But when you say preview it sounds as if the order hasn't yet been submitted and a VIN assigned?

Just reached out to FCA chat for an update, and they said all parts are ready and should be entering build soon!

Ordered JLUR 4xe 12/26, moved into "parts being gathered" around 1/18.

I'm told mine "may have been selected for additional quality inspections or held for delivery purposes. At FCA, you can be assured that we take vehicle quality seriously."

On one hand, I'm glad they caught whatever was wrong with it. On the other, I'm a little sad there was something wrong with it in the first place. Maybe it was the seventy-four coats of paint. :(

Could be a delay in the delivery method (rail cars not available), doing extra quality checks on a new model or they found an issue and are fixing it. Hopefully, one of the first two are the reason.

I just checked on my 12/1 Sahara 4xe order and here is what they said:

"I can see all the required materials for your order have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build very soon! There has been movement in the past few days. Check back in a week."

Update from my dealer: My 11/06 order is in D1 and now the build date is Feb 15.
(Original build date was estimated to be 1/10).

Jeep Chat:
"I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process soon.
Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided. "

So, I'm now hoping for mid-March delivery rather than mid-Feb. I guess I have more time to figure out more modifications.

The Jeep Chat rep you talked to gave much more detail than mine did this morning. Mine simply said "Your jeep has been sequenced for production."

So there was a post above from "Jeep Cares" but its gone now...weird...but anyway, I sent a private message to the poster (as directed) to check the status on my order. She just responded to me and this doesn't sound good at all.

"I was able to get an update on your vehicle order and per the system, it appears that your order has been processed and is currently in line to be built. Please know that it typically takes approximately 7-9 weeks for your vehicle to be built, depending on its location. I hope that this offered some clarity to your vehicle status!"

So that means the clock starts ticking from scratch now at 7-9 weeks! I'm already at week 7 from when I ordered which I know isn't a good measure since I you can't really start counting down until they actually started building the 4xe's, but 7-9 more weeks for now is depressing. I thought the build process went fast once you enter the build process.

I sent a PM as well and haven't heard back yet. Am guessing I may end up with a similar response though.
