I learned today in the other thread that apparently you can get close to that sound with any engine., or better according to some.
Hey you be careful...
And just for the record I have a hemi with a custom dual exhaust.

But it sure isn't the end all be all of engine sound.

Just because I don't tell you about my hemi truck or my Corvette doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm talking about. Yeah I own a Jeep with a 3.6 it's also not my only vehicle.

I didn't think about this, 4 bangers are Straight 4, not V4. So thats why we don't have Inline 8 or 10 or 13, too much space required. Inline 6 is max, and behemoths like Cummins 6.7L already take too much space

I think the last straight 8 was a Cadillac back in the 1920s maybe the 30s. Definitely pre WWII.

What you need is one of those Montana LLCs...
I actually have it saved 😊 but I am no spring chicken and don’t know if it would be problematic for my son to get my Jeep. 30 years ago when I souped up my V10 PU and registered it in a no smog check county except on ownership transfer it wasn’t a consideration. The PU dies here with me or gets sold in a free state. I want him to have my Jeep.

So why don't you register you and your son with the LLC? And then shouldn't you be able to put that into a trust as well? I feel like this is something you probably need a lawyer to make sure but I think doable.

Of course ideally you wouldn't live in California but I understand.

I actually really like California unfortunately I could never live there, I couldn't even take things I legally own now with me to that state without ending up in prison. A bunch of nonsense if you ask me.

The last effort to revoke the CARB’s waiver to not comply with federal regulations and set their own was dropped in January of 2021. I have read of a new effort now in January of 2025. Perhaps it won’t be needed, but it will be pursued further if necessary. 🤞 🙏

Wouldn't it be lovely if common sense prevailed. I mean I would just be happy if I could visit the state without paying twice as much for gas it just boggles the fucking mind how they screw that up. I know I'm not looking forward to paying those prices this summer.

Be prepared to pay an extra over a dollar more next trip due to new taxes, carbon credit system, refinery regulations, and refinery shutdown— Phillips 66 is getting TFO. From memory but I previously posted the article with specifics.

Thank you. Sorry forgot to mention. Im new to this page. Seems to be a touchy subject around here 😂
Don't listen to them...everyone was new once. You're just stupid too. JUST KIDDING!!!

I drove both. I thought the 4cyl felt quicker, especially off the line. But I was concerned about the turbo and 8 speed auto. And a manual transmission was not available with a 4 cyl. So I went with the 6 cyl and 6 spd transmission. Had to do the clutch recall in 2020. But it has been perfect since that time.

MPG's are better in the 4 cyl...but not by much. I get about 17-19 mpgs with normal driving. I bet you'd get 19-20 with a 4 cyl. So not a lot of savings, in my opinion. I think 4's are more common. So you might get a better deal from a dealer who is sick of them being on the lot? Just a guess.

Good luck. You won't be disappointed whichever way you go.

We love our 2.0T (ours has eTorque). I typically average 25 mpg with a relatively light foot.
