I've also never bragged about my success.... I've never really left anyone on the trail but I will hurt their feelings if they were doing something stupid, and question everything ?
1st the documented biggest lie of the day, as you've done nothing but brag in this thread. And then the admission that you're just a bold face liar. Maybe a little more education on communication and class is in order?

Yeah, you haven't proven anything with your marks and comments but to prove that Ted has been doing this, with that Jeep for quite a while now, and has documented fairly well from early on. Those 5 lug pictures are from the years prior to his 1 ton upgrade, and actually shows how much wheeling he did on the stock axles and has the experience and knowledge to explain how 40s and stock axles is generally not a good idea.

Well played! Your arguments are simply too good for me to continue ?‍?. I surrender and bow to the infinite/collective wisdom of this supremely experienced and extraordinary group.

Obviously I'm stupid because I mistakenly interpreted his post, from 2 days ago, where he said “…I just installed a rear Fusion 60 on my Jeep…” If there was any doubt left, I showed my stupidity again when he said he bought this new trailer (pictured below), in November 2023, and a noticed 5-lugs without a sign of any locking hubs or a drive slug. Golly, how embarrassing!

My bad, I forgot where I was and should have never brought facts into the conversation. All of your arguments have convinced me to immediately sell my Jeeps, grow a mullet, get a ? enlargement, and reevaluate my entire life.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
You guys crack me up ?. The truely great thing about being a consultant is that I'm really good at spotting bullshit and calling people on it. Like guys that act genuine but are really total fakes and put down other people and act like an expert so they can feel cool ?. I've also never bragged about my success.... I just know that it really pisses off these internet narcissists and I was stuck at the airport and I had some time on my hands.

Example Narcissists BS::
The 'your not a real Jeeper' manuver "…Not saying that those of you that have posted pics of your Jeep on 40s with stock axles don't wheel, but not one of them had a single scratch that I could see on any of your wheels. Like how do you wheel a hard trail and not have any rock rash. You guys must be amazing drivers..."
IMG_0055.jpeg

The 'I've only driven I70 so Colorado doesn't have hard trails' manuver “…I have wheeled in Colorado. Its funny how the badge trails expect for Holy Cross are rated high, yet, Black Bear Pass, Imogene, Ophir can be done in 2wd. Heck I saw a 2wd Chevy Silverado on top of Engineer Pass..."
IMG_0053.jpeg

The 'Ive run 40's, but it took the fun out of it's manuver "...I have five wheels that look like that. Yet none of the Jeeps on 40s in this thread have a rock rash one. Just saying. I ran 40s. For a minute. Most of my buds that went to 40s say it take the fun out of wheeling…”
IMG_0052.jpeg

The 'oops' manuver', from Friday “…I just installed a rear Fusion 60 on my Jeep…”
IMG_0054.jpeg

The 'I've spent less than 10k, but let me share my personal expertise because you're so stupid' manuver “…Still , living in your area, if you’re going to wheel it, spend the $25,000 to $30,000 to set your Jeep up right. Just like nobody is talking about 40s and hydro steering. That just tell me that if you are on 40s and you don’t have hydro steering, you probably are not wheeling hard trails. If you are, you must embrace the suck…”
IMG_0051.jpeg

And for a bonus
IMG_0050.jpeg

Oh, and here's my two car garage that you called me out on. Apologies for the mess.?
IMG_0056.png

Oh, and for this guy "...I'm running 39in BFG stickies with PSC steering and a semi float 60 now. Sometimes I take my Jeep to the mall too. LOL...". I believe those are KM3's. You'd never run stickies on the pavement... Or at any real speed ?

For the other fan-boys ???, I've never really left anyone on the trail but I will hurt their feelings if they were doing something stupid, and question everything ?
This is a whole new level of dumb. I say dumb because he just doesn't know any better. If he did then he would be stupid which is worse than dumb. I must have hurt his feelings that I have ran more trails and more difficult trails with semi stock axles that required him to run 40. Maybe he doesn't realize that I often have other Jeepers that travel with me and the camper he referred to is another Jeepers camper. Maybe he doesn't realize that there are semi float 60 axles out there that are five lug.

Maybe he can't comprehend that I never wrote that I have hydro steer. I don't think it is necessary for 37, but I would have put it on if I stuck with 40s. Climbing with out a rope or a chalk bag.... at times we do. Sometimes we use ropes and a chalk bag. Duh.

Here is a pic with a chalk bag. LOL

Well without a chalk bag..... Well it is on the other side of me. O look, I have harness on and climbing shoes.
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? 1708889623576

Yet some times we just find fun stuff that don't require climbing shoes, chalk and ropes and free climb while we are out Jeeping. One might also take the leap of faith and say how did he capture this shot. Maybe, just maybe I went first.

How does one get a shot like this with out climbing?

Maybe even better, you could just realize that your opinion about me matters not. I still think you have a sweet Jeep and I would still help you if you were broke down on the trail. Why because as I said, your actions do not dictate my actions. You can continue to make yourself look bad on this thread. That is up to you. You're doing great. Maybe have your dad or your wife read this thread. I am sure they would be impressed like the rest of us. Truly the worst thing is this thread will be around for others to see for years and years. It will just keep rewarding you with positive vibes.

Old trailer and old original axle. Check out the meta data on how old the picture is. Hell, just check out his previous posts. He's been showing people his wheeling trips on here with a thread that shows all the stuff you are being ridiculous about.

Edit: or while I was trying to figure out what was going on, Ted explained it succinctly.

Y'all need to slow down just a bit. I ran out of popcorn before I could get to page 7. Give me a minute to catch up and throw some more in.

I think he spent too much time in a tent up in Gatlinburg with his Uncle Rick, whom used to sniff his bike seat….. A LOT.

I’d still help him too @wibornz, I wouldn’t want him to miss out on the fun life has in store for him.

So I’m hearing lots of name calling but not a single substantive response.

To the guy that mentioned ‘metadata,’ it’s actually stripped from the photo when it was posted - take a look ?‍♂

For the 5 lug, d60 axles; yeah I know about them. But didn’t you just get them? And what axle did you run your 40’s on?

Fusion does make a great full-float axle… but the semi-float design really defeats 75% of the benefits of moving to a 1-ton axle. (FYI, and I’ll type this next part slowly so y’all can understand). Yay, you now have a 40 spline axle shaft and some more beef… but the axle shaft still takes all the weight from the vehicle and you can’t lock or unlock a single hub or pull an axle shaft if you break one! So what you did is just like running a 40” tire on a JL Sport axle…. It will work for a while but your still screwed when it breaks. Crazy, I know!

But hey, there I go with facts again… and you know what they say: “don’t bring facts to a name calling contest”

Silly me - please continue with the name calling and the victory celebrations ?. I’ve got to go list my jeeps and let my friends know that they should start taking all of their Jeep advice from the Overlanders! ?

@wibornz excellent reply. maybe he is jealous of all of your actual trips. i mean anyone can write a check to buy a 392, build it, and never leave their state, where as you post pictures from all over the country.
I went home this morning, slept 8 hours, and are back babysitting the counties finest citizens, and opened this thread and cannot believe its still going. Thankfully, this forum has an ignore button which will be used. Im sorry but i just cant listen to anymore of his nonsense. The rest of the forum are amazing people, that i have learned an incredible amount from, and will continue to learn.

Well I kind of wheel, like around the country.

IMG_0305.jpeg

I have done 58 of the badge trails and thousands of others. My JL is not a daily driver, We pretty much use it for Jeeping, Jeep travel as we Jeep, hike, climb all over. We have towed our campers 56,000+ miles. I did not like the 40s on the Jeep as we only got 8 mpg towing. Vs 13 mpg towing with 37. We have wheeled moab three time. 30+ days straight the last time we were there. We typically take off for six to eight months of jeeping after Christmas. Our travel this year was to be as far south as Cabo San Lucas Mexico and as far north at Dead Horse Alaska. Unfortunately my wife’s dad passed so we came home. We did wheel in Kansas, Disney Oklahoma,
1708737573829.png
Hot Spings Arkansas, beaches in Louisiana and HiddenFalls Texas before heading home. We will head to Alaska in May, after my wife and son return from 10 days in Spain. When Jeeping , we will will wheel typically four to six times a week.

Why are the majority of the pics of these Jeep in this thread not out wheeling?

I have another four or five thousand pics from wheeling.

I often lead group ride of 30 to 40 Jeeps and have lead a 60 or so Jeep ride. I have also been an instructor for Overland Expo. I teach how to plan multiple month off roading adventures and how to use mapping software like Gaia, Google maps, Onx. How to find dispersed camping and so on.

I had applied to be an instructor at Overland Expo West this year, but because of my father in laws death, I cancelled out. Sadly.

So not trolling, we just wheel a lot with a lot of Jeep people from all over. We have seen a thing or two.
Great adventures and keep them coming, sorry for your loss.
I would have to get a job for a day or two along the way just to cover the fuel bill
