wow..... hes an extra special kind of special. kinda sad really, i was just saying the other day how great this forum is and how willing people are to help each other, and how the jeep community is typically non judgmental.

I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear anything y’all said. I had these darn 392’s stuck in my ears.

alternatively, feel free to hit up anyone that posted their beautiful pictures of their 392’s. I’m sure they’ll be happy to share some career advice with y’all. Maybe each of you could earn enough to get a trailer you could actually ? in ?

Clearly Phillip is sexually frustrated and doesn't get affection from anybody. Has to attack another member because it reminds him of the guy his wife kept cheating on him with. Small dick syndrome is real with this 392 owner.

That’s not all you’ve stuck in there….

IT Strategist huh?…. I’d think any professional Strategist would be a little more …. “Strategic” in not painting themselves into a corner. But then again you’ve been self proclaimed “Having things stuck in your holes” all day.

Good luck in your future endeavors, as the current ones aren’t exactly panning out.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
He’s a flat-lander that retired doesn’t make him an authority on anything. He’s a guy that that simply gets his kicks by showing everyone how special he thinks he is by putting down the people with better toys and a lot more money than he has. I’ve also noticed that he is followed by a small group of guys that are dumb enough to believe him… likely because they want to be him.

But what do I know… but I bet my education, pay check, and Jeeps are bigger than yours, combined✌
Hey wait a minute, I have never claimed to be an authority on anything. I speak from personal experience. I have not put down anyone. Including you, because I don't need to. Your behavior does not dictate my behavior. You are doing a great job all by yourself. After all you told the whole forum, fuck you I will leave you to die. There are 89,000 member on this forum. Probably not one of them are lining up to wheel with you now. But hey, just know that even though you will leave people behind, if I see you broke down. I would still help you. Why because being decent means doing the right thing.

Money is not a sign of what type of person you are. A 392 is not big money. Head to Glamis where there are dudes that are rocking sand rails that start at $250,000 and go north of $350,000 dollars. Dudes that have more into the suspension on their sand rail than the cost of your 392 build. Those same dudes are also in the custom 40 diesel pusher and custom trailer. These guys are rolling a million+ to go to the dunes a couple times a year.

I think it is awesome that you have built or had someone built an awesome 392 and your out there tackling killer trails that $700 SBXJ on 33 can do. How's it feel to do an obstacle that someone else just did in an Shitbox XJ with 33 while running 40s. I bet it is a great feeling.

Sure there are some that follow me because I am out doing cool stuff while you're at your job doing what ever you do, and I am sure it is impressive and important because, well you can afford a 392 with your big paycheck because your apparently the only one with a big paycheck. Me I am over here starving, or maybe easily living below my means while we travel and do multiple month wheeling trips........ It must be awesome having a two car garage like every other middle class family.

You wrote: (But what do I know… but I bet my education, pay check, and Jeeps are bigger than yours, combined✌)

We are not the same. I have had employees that worked for me that have PhDs and many with Masters Degrees. I am not impressed as I know that education is not a true measure of intelligence. Pay Checks are not a true measure of success. That the size of one Jeep is a true measure of vehicle and driver capability. We are not the same.

We obviously measure success differently. I mentored 146 employees into better positions and promotions over the years. I raised to boys that became successful men. They life a fathers dream. They both earn more money than I did. I raised them to be strong, dangerous, yet humble and financially secure. I am probably one of the few parents that have never loaned their kids money because I did not need to. Not one time since they were about 10 years old. Both are home owners in their twenties. Both educated. One even speaks five languages. The other can program in multiple languages.

Success to me is being married for over three decades and my wife still smiling when I walk into a room and wanting to spend time with me doing cool stuff.

My Jeep never enters my mind as part of my success, it is just a vehicle to me that allows me to do the things that I want to do and get me to places that I want to be. You see, I understand that a Jeep is something that anyone can buy and is not a true measure of a person's character. To me character traits displayed are way more important than something bought or something said. We are not the same.

You. wrote:

I says earlier, I’d leave them for dead if I ever encountered a jeep (392 or other) broke down on a hard trail, while running 40’s on stock axles. Same thing for those of you that don’t carry a spare, not that one of my 8-lug 40’s would help them.

I wrote:

If you are out wheeling and you do break an axle shift, hit me up. If I am home I will next day air it you. You just pay the shipping.

We are not the same......

Well I kind of wheel, like around the country.

IMG_0305.jpeg

I have done 58 of the badge trails and thousands of others. My JL is not a daily driver, We pretty much use it for Jeeping, Jeep travel as we Jeep, hike, climb all over. We have towed our campers 56,000+ miles. I did not like the 40s on the Jeep as we only got 8 mpg towing. Vs 13 mpg towing with 37. We have wheeled moab three time. 30+ days straight the last time we were there. We typically take off for six to eight months of jeeping after Christmas. Our travel this year was to be as far south as Cabo San Lucas Mexico and as far north at Dead Horse Alaska. Unfortunately my wife’s dad passed so we came home. We did wheel in Kansas, Disney Oklahoma,
1708737573829.png
Hot Spings Arkansas, beaches in Louisiana and HiddenFalls Texas before heading home. We will head to Alaska in May, after my wife and son return from 10 days in Spain. When Jeeping , we will will wheel typically four to six times a week.

Why are the majority of the pics of these Jeep in this thread not out wheeling?

I have another four or five thousand pics from wheeling.

I often lead group ride of 30 to 40 Jeeps and have lead a 60 or so Jeep ride. I have also been an instructor for Overland Expo. I teach how to plan multiple month off roading adventures and how to use mapping software like Gaia, Google maps, Onx. How to find dispersed camping and so on.

I had applied to be an instructor at Overland Expo West this year, but because of my father in laws death, I cancelled out. Sadly.

So not trolling, we just wheel a lot with a lot of Jeep people from all over. We have seen a thing or two.
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!!

I have not put down anyone.
I've made an ass of myself on here more times than I can count, and @wibornz has never been the one to call me out on it. He's a real class act.

@Philip You probably read his comments and took it the wrong way. I know I've done that plenty of times myself on here. That's the downside of text-based communication, text doesn't carry emotions, so you read them with whatever emotions you have in your head. But in that sense, just because you read it a certain way doesn't mean it was written that way.

Shoot, I was beefing with some dude on here like a month ago because I was trolling this chick who bought a ridiculously overpriced Wrangler and the whole community seem to be blown away by it. :CWL:

Shoot, @CarbonSteel has owned me on intelligence level multiple times. That guy's smart as heck! There's no reason you @Philip can't admit you made a mistake. The only thing worse than being wrong, is the inability to admit it. :like::rock:

... And on that note, I'm going to stop interjecting myself into other people's problems.

I just hope he is talking shit and would not leave someone broke down on the trail. We should all look to handle bad situations with grace. I hope that he is not like that in real life and that the security of being behind a keyboard got the better of him.

We have all said things, shitty things that we would do. If the real situation arose, we would rise to the occasion and do the right thing even if it was an inconvenience to us.

Short of being in the middle of my own or my family's life or death emergency situation I'll always offer to help. We've driven across town to pull a stranger out of an orchard off a simple Facebook post asking for help. I've given up my spare fuel, welded up broken control arm mounts, plugged tires and then followed the guy with no spare 30 miles back to the highway because they needed help and I could be of assistance with little cost to me. Those are just some of the times helping random strangers that come to mind. It doesn't cost much to be a decent person, but it's always the "wannabe" rich that can't afford it. The truly wealthy understand that.

And there it is, he just layed it out there for the whole world to see. This metaphoric measuring contest has a clear winner. The size of a paycheck, (BTW, never assume) doesn't make a man better than another. But how a guy treats others, and Ted is a mountain of a man in that regard.

You guys crack me up ?. The truely great thing about being a consultant is that I'm really good at spotting bullshit and calling people on it. Like guys that act genuine but are really total fakes and put down other people and act like an expert so they can feel cool ?. I've also never bragged about my success.... I just know that it really pisses off these internet narcissists and I was stuck at the airport and I had some time on my hands.

Example Narcissists BS::
The 'your not a real Jeeper' manuver "…Not saying that those of you that have posted pics of your Jeep on 40s with stock axles don't wheel, but not one of them had a single scratch that I could see on any of your wheels. Like how do you wheel a hard trail and not have any rock rash. You guys must be amazing drivers..."
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0055

The 'I've only driven I70 so Colorado doesn't have hard trails' manuver “…I have wheeled in Colorado. Its funny how the badge trails expect for Holy Cross are rated high, yet, Black Bear Pass, Imogene, Ophir can be done in 2wd. Heck I saw a 2wd Chevy Silverado on top of Engineer Pass..."
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0053

The 'Ive run 40's, but it took the fun out of it's manuver "...I have five wheels that look like that. Yet none of the Jeeps on 40s in this thread have a rock rash one. Just saying. I ran 40s. For a minute. Most of my buds that went to 40s say it take the fun out of wheeling…”
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0052

The 'oops' manuver', from Friday “…I just installed a rear Fusion 60 on my Jeep…”
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0054

The 'I've spent less than 10k, but let me share my personal expertise because you're so stupid' manuver “…Still , living in your area, if you’re going to wheel it, spend the $25,000 to $30,000 to set your Jeep up right. Just like nobody is talking about 40s and hydro steering. That just tell me that if you are on 40s and you don’t have hydro steering, you probably are not wheeling hard trails. If you are, you must embrace the suck…”
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0051

And for a bonus
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0050

Oh, and here's my two car garage that you called me out on. Apologies for the mess.?
Jeep Wrangler JL 40's on 392? IMG_0056

Oh, and for this guy "...I'm running 39in BFG stickies with PSC steering and a semi float 60 now. Sometimes I take my Jeep to the mall too. LOL...". I believe those are KM3's. You'd never run stickies on the pavement... Or at any real speed ?

For the other fan-boys ???, I've never really left anyone on the trail but I will hurt their feelings if they were doing something stupid, and question everything ?
