Talked to the guys at MC....for the 392 game changer 3.5" lift, they found out that the front dual rate springs for a 3.5" 4 door JK lift works. For the rear, they use a dual rate 3.5" lift spring for a JL. I went with Fox 2.5 DSC shocks for a 4.5-6" lift (per MC) and had them tuned by Accutune. Metal Cloak says that their 3.5" lift will add about 2.5" more than the OEM lift, so at least 3.5" total lift....

Thanks I’ll probably do that when I get closer to pulling the trigger on a lift. Trying to wait until Cyber Monday. Clayton and MC are on my short list. MC will probably flex better than Clayton but I’ll also have a lot of crap in my Jeep from time to time and Clayton’s stiffer springs and increased lift height caught my eye.
Great idea. Also look at what TeraFlex just announced at SEMA and installed on their 392. Also looks like EVO has developed a 392 solution that Dixie 4x4 in Utah installed. Both of these look very compelling.

I’m running the 3/4 inch spacers from Fishbone Offroad along with 2 inches of rear bump stump extensions and Teraflex Falcon Performance bump stops.

This is enough to not rub with 37s Offroad. I just tested this set up at Windrock last weekend and finished trails 26 and 16 with no major problems!

I have no need to go bigger until I go to 40s so I’m saving my piggies for a good long arm kit and 1 ton axles.

I hear ya.....I had no problem with several trails around here...spots on broken arrow I thought I might rub....but no....however I'm getting set up for more extreme trails like Behind the Rocks, Hells Revenge and other 5 and 6 trails in Moab.....but who knows...maybe I should have tried it first and saved some bucks...

Don, PM me when you are headed out to Moab. I am about 5 hours away and will use any excuse to travel out there. I need to test Sulley now that she has her lift mostly complete.

Did you see what TeraFlex posted on YT and their 392 lift kit? Looks damn nice and they tucked 1 tons under it as well. Only issue I see is what skids are compatible to protect the oil drain plug.

Here are some measurements pre and post install of a MC 392 game changer dual rate lift. The shocks are Fox 2.5 DSC (052/056), further tuned by Accutune. With the shocks dialed all the way CC (both high and low speed), IMO, it rides just like stock. From there, you can dial them for any on or off-road conditions....fantastic. Some measurements: pre: bottom of rear receiver 20.5", post 24". Gained about 3 1/2" overall.

I am running metal cloak skid plates so I am interested to see how the Teraflex or other long arm kits work out for our 392s with the MC skids.

Well, ordered the first piece of the puzzle for my 392XR tonight…37x12.50 Trail Grapplers. Went back and forth between 37/38s for about two weeks. 99% sure I’m now going with the Metalcloak 3.5 GC/2-4.5” Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks. I’ll need new driveshafts (Adams 1350s) but the flex that you guys are getting out of these MC kits pushed me over the edge. Fingers crossed they have a Cyber Monday sale 😎

If you are a vet, they will give you a discount 👍 anytime. Look at Jon Mock’s MC build and flex on FB where he installed the six pack shocks.

I would but I don’t have FB anymore…I’m sure it has great flex! Got a web link?

Heads up to those putting on the MetalCloak Game Changer 3.5” lift.

1) The instructions do not clearly explain the correct orientation of the rear track bar other than saying the jam nut and adjustable end attach to frame side. The rear track bar should angle down from the axle side to clear exhaust then back up to clear the did. Picture below is installed the wrong way and needs to be flipped 180* but leaving jam nut adjustable end on pax side which is right below.

2) regarding the rear upper control arms printed in the current instructions online as of today, the instructions are wrong. The upper control arm jam nut goes on frame side contrary to instructions. The adjustable joint should be in the front on the frame side. See section I below for incorrect way to install the rear upper control arm .

Why not the 38s?

Why not the 38s?
Didn’t want to jump right into trimming the rear pinch seam or splitting the fenders on a brand new Jeep and I’d like to get a high level of flex. 37s only have 1/2” less ground clearance but they’re lighter and narrower. Easier on bearings, steering stuff, etc. When I jump to 39s or 40s down the road I’ll also jump to one tons/hydro assist.

Are you running the front shock lower relocation brackets? Read through another guy’s build thread last night and he is not running those front shock brackets with his MC GC 3.5 and Falcon 3.3 SP2s.

Also are you running the Metalcloak Front Coil Corrector Pads? Any coil spring bow or lean to the Jeep while on flat ground?
