I pulled the trigger and ordered the MetalCloak 3.5" Game Changer lift without their front driveshaft (Leaning towards Adams 1350 front and rear) and added the shock relocation brackets for the Fox 2.5 DSC remote res shocks.

I requested bids from reputable local shops to perform the install ranging from $1300-$2800 just for labor and excludes the alignment work needed to correct caster, toe, and straighten steering wheel. If MC is correct on estimated install time, 6-8 hours, this may be a business opportunity to start a new shop.

See I was thinking about changing out to the MC 3.5” lift and putting my 392 take offs on my wife’s Sahara. My 392 rides so perfectly right now I’m not ready to open that can worms. I’ll look for something else for my wife’s Jeep. Possibly take offs from another 392.

The 3.5" MetalCloak Game Changer lift install is complete including the 2.5 Fox remote res shocks. Nets out to 2.5" to 3" gain over OEM suspension.

Here are the detailed measures at various points on the 392 along with the conditions in which measurements were taken:

Conditions pre and post lift
Full tank gas
No pax or driver inside cab
Recovery gear, trail tools, and bottle jack in rear
Warn Zeon 10s winch and Maximus 3 winch plate on bumper, bumper wings removed
Recovery shackles front bumper
Tires at 32 PSI all four corners
37” KO2 spare tire on rear gate with Teraflex alpha hd hinge and tire carrier
PowerTank 10lb CO2 bottle rear pax side role bar

Pre / post lift top of rock slider measure
Passenger front 21 5/8” / 24 3/8”
Driver front 22” / 25”
Passenger rear 22 1/2” / 25 1/2”
Driver rear 22 7/8” / 26 1/8”

Pre / post lift wheel well measure top of black trim
Driver front 42 7/8” / 45 3/4”
Driver rear 42 1/2” / 45 1/2”
Passenger front 42 3/8” / 44 7/8”
Passenger rear 42” / 45”

Skid low point pre / post lift 11 1/4” 13 7/8”

Driver front lower control arm mount 14” / 16 3/4”
Driver rear lower control arm mount 13 1/4” / 16 1/4”
PAx front lower control arm 13 7/8” / 16 1/2”
Pax rear control arm 12 7/8” / 16”

Pre lift, rear is lower than front 1/4” to 3/8” on wheel wells.
Post lift, rear is lower 1/2” than front on wheel wells (assuming wells are level front to back)
Lift added 2.5 to 3” overall compared to OEM suspension

Pictures to follow

I'll post ride quality comments once I have more butt time in the Jeep. However, initial impressions are that the Jeep feels significantly more planted particularly over bridge expansions, etc than on OEM suspension providing greater handling confidence on pavement and highway. With the Fox 2.5 combo, the ride feels firmer in a good way. I can feel the road better which I prefer. On the shocks, I set the hi and lo speed dampening at 3 and 3 respectively.

Here is the post MetalCloak 3.5" Game Changer lift with Fox 2.5 Elite DSC shocks:

With the Tazer Mini installed and forced 2WD engaged, the 392 drives straight as an arrow. With 4 auto engaged, it drives straight unless wide open throttle from stop when I feel a slight initial pull to the driver side then settles into a straight line.

Here is a video flexing out the 392 post MC Game Changer 3.5" lift with Fox 2.5 Shocks. Unfortunately, no measurements taken to see how high it was raised nor video from the front.
