Hello freinds
For increasing wheels of XR to 37" do I need to reinforce the axles?

a 37" wheel even in Aluminum is gonna be HEAVY so yea gonna need to beef up a lot of stuff ... the biggest issue will probably be finding a tire tho.

Whew! Tough ask. Usually you’ll want to run a 44” or greater tire with a setup like that. Tractor supply may have what you’re looking for.

Gonna have to spring for $10,000 Carbon Fiber ?
Hell maybe even 10gs each wheel with that size. Gonna probably need to run a 17.420 gear ratio in the axles too.

You’re gaining a lot of attention by asking about wheel size when it seems you’re probably looking for tire size.

If you’re asking about 37” tires, you should be fine if you’re reasonable with the skinny pedal off road. Here’s Jeepeto III on XR wheels and 37” Yoko G003s and KMC Machete beadlocks with the same 37” Yoko G003s

It all depends on how you dive it. You can break an axle with 30" tires hitting a bump with enough speed and on the other hand there are those who run 40s on stock JL axles without any problems.

I think mainly cause its a question that has been beat to death and some simple googling will give him an answer.

We knew what you meant. We just never miss the opportunity to seize a funny moment. :) you’ve come to the right place for this question. You do not need axles or other modifications. I ran stock 392 wheels ( a tad narrower ) with a 2.5” lift and 37” Ko2’s without any issues at full flex. With the xr being right near 2” i would say you would see very similar results.

I have slammed mine on rocks, across tough trails, 13 BoH trails etc and never had an issue with anything driveline or clearance related.
