Hello everyone, new jeep owner here, planning to buy a 17x9 rims (-12 offset) with 315/70/17 BFG KO2 tires for my 2019 sahara along with the aev 2” spacers lift. I know this topic or related has been covered a lot of times, but really appreciate it if anyone can share their ride experience (any rub on the fender liners or the control arm?) and also how far with it will the tire poke out from the fenders? A picture would be nice. Thanks.

Hi buddy, try to help you as much as I can here, the 315 70 r 70 BFG are great tires they ride great I believe they make a C rating and an E rating tire, we had the C rating on my wife's and it was a tad smoother and about 1mpg better, I used to run a -12 offset, on the Sahara they poked out about 3+ inches past the fenders, ended up switching to a +1 offset just because I was tired of rocks and debris, now they poke out about 2 1/4 -2 1/2 inches with that being said neither the -12 or the +1 offset rubs on the control arms or the liners, just make sure you adjust your bump stops when you put your lift/spacers on.. Good luck my friend.

I have a similar setup on my Sport. My spacer lift is 2.5" Rough Country with matching bump stop extensions and I have zero offset wheels. My Ridge Grapplers stick out about 3 inches. I've detected no rubbing anywhere. Your plan seems sound.

I'm running a similar setup. Fuel wheels with -12 offset and 2.5” lift. Getting very tired of salt, and road grime splattering on the car. Looking for something that fits inside the fender flares and will probably be listing this setup for sale soon.

If I could find fender flare extensions, may go that route.

Thank you guys for the feedback, again much appreciated. The setup does looks good, however, It will make the tires poke out 3 inches from the fender.

what offset do you guys think will fit inside the fender flares or maybe 1 inches poke but will not rub control arms or the inner liner?

The market for a + offset wheel is pretty limited, I will say my neighbor just put on some Quadratec Morphic wheels they have like 3-4 different styles, most of them run a +10 offset he paired them with 315x70r17 BFG and they look fantastic you get about 1 1/2 to 2" of poke he's on a 1.5" terra flex spacers and he has no rubbing on any of the components that you mentioned...

thank you sir for the info. When you mentioned about the setup of -12 offset with the tire poking out 3” further from the fender flares, it does make me worry(our region here doesn’t allow tires poking out that much, sucks).

now that you mentioned about your neighbor jeep with + offset that doesn’t rub, might go for that route. Was planning on getting the black rhino barstow wheels tho.

Some Jeepers have put 315/70r17's on 17x7.5" +44 offset stock wheels. I think the JL Sport would look better with the 17x8" +12 offset 392 wheels.
I got 22.5lbs for my 6bz39trmaa wheel. All black Willys style.

It will poke out a considerable amount.. hopefully you like that stance and going after that specific look. You are also constrained by narrow axles which means you will rub with AEV style offset (5.77).
I ran (17x8 +30 with 1.25" wheel spacers) 8.5 +0 equivalent last jeep and there was no rubbing with that setup on 315/70/17 KO2
