Trey, I had the exact same thing happen this pervious summer, on a road trip to Reno I was only about an hour into the trip, hit a pothole on the freeway and the whole dash lit up, ended up pulling over into a gas station disconnected the battery and eventually everything came back on line...

Love sting gray, love white, can't really go wrong either way, the last 5 vehicles I have owned all have been white for the simple fact that if it needs to be paint matched or touched up its a relatively easy color to blend well and perform DIY rock chip touch up etc etc...
