Very true. I've only been a Jeep owner for 3 months so I really don't have much to contribute other than to bring a little togetherness through sarcasm, gifs, and memes.

It's the little things in life that bring me joy.
You and me both sir. Shame you got the big girl rather than the proper Jeep but welcome either way.

I like knowing Im the first one to fart in the seats too
Ya gotta appreciate that when you sit and it comes back out again, you don’t have to ask who did it.

I have two Tj's and the 4.0 is great (as long as you aren't trying to win a drag race).

That's been my take away regarding 3.6 vs. 3.8. The 3.6 has more HP, but also more problems. Whereas the 3.8 is more reliable and easier to repair, closer to the 4.0.

I had the 3.6 in my 2012 JKU. Really no complaints, but only had it for a few years.
Whut? Have you ever had a 3.8. Will it run 9 billion miles? Probably, but it's going to explode thousands of spark plugs and hemorrhage the middle east in oil. They run forever, but require a shit ton of work to keep the oil inside and spark plugs from becoming sparklers. They also have alot of blowby issues, so thinned oil and low HP can also be a problem. Running forever does not always equal dependable.

The only right answer is: Whichever one is available in the Jeep with all of the options you want at the best price when you're ready to buy. I prefer the smooth predictable V6, but I would have no problems with a 2.0 and enjoy the extra pep if that's what it ended up being. You can't go wrong or right with either one.

Yeah I know, BBBBOOOORRRRRINNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!

It's my daily driver and I'm coming from driving Durango R/T's for the last 14 years.

I wanted something different.

I don't have the money, time, or patience to go offroad and break stuff on a $50k daily driver. What sold me was the sky top. I'm too lazy to fart around with removable panels.

What other convertible can I feel confident driving in 16" of lake effect snow.

What I didn't realize was by purchasing a Jeep I was joining a cult.

I've been participating in vehicle forums for every vehicle I've owned since Al Gore invented the internet.

So far this one is very unique.

Bimmers, ADV bikes, any random niche car that 1500 of the most die hard autists are keeping alive.

My wife has a BMW but I could care less.

Noted. I'm only 52 so I'm not old enough for a vette. And I don't look good in knee high white socks.

Hey! I'm 50 and my other car is a 50th anniversary corvette, 6 speed manual! LOL. I didn't pick up the new balance sneakers or jeans shorts yet though!

That is not correct. The LS6 is the base engine of the cheapest Corvette (Stingray) AND the GS. Base HP of all base Corvettes is now 535HP from the LS6.

GM is retiring the Gen5 5.3 and 6.2 engines across the entire line up. The Silverado and Sierra and the next vehicles to receive the LS6 in 2027.

In any event, let's not get lost in the weeds of GM powerplants. The only point is that GM (and Ford) continue to invest heavily in modern aluminum V8s, while Stellantis is peddling the same 15 year old ancient Hemi iron block boat anchors.
Uhh, Gen 3 Hemi debuted 2003 so 23 year old , revised with VVT and upgrade internals in 09. The only major upgrades, but has evolved. Perhaps they should re-continue the abandoned years ago Gen 4 development ?
