2025 radiator steaming in the cold rain

Common sense that a bunch of cold water might make it steam up but when I stopped it seemed slightly excessive. 37 degrees.

Water temp is always around 192 ish when warmed up.

Heat up a pot of water to 192 degrees, take it outside, see that it steams. Carry on.

Cold water on a hot radiator will steam, no worries if it’s not overheating.

It’s probably fine. But I’d still check to see if there is a small leak somewhere under the hood. You may not notice the steam when moving, and only noticeable when stopped due to no air coming through the engine bay.

I had a small leak in my radiator one time (on another vehicle) and the steam was only apparent when I was stopped. At least yours should be covered under warranty.

Relax. Remember how large the grille opening is compared to most vehicles on the road. Jeep radiators are easy to get really wet and steam in the cold when stopped.
