2024 Dash Materials

Hey everyone,

Tried searching but didn’t see anything specifically. I’m also not a forum pro so bear with me…

What is the dash made of on the non-rubicon 2024 wranglers? What is it made of on the Rubicon. It appears to be cloth vs carbon fiber based on videos but wanted someone who owns one to confirm.

If the Willys and below are cloth, I wonder how that would even hold up to dirt/dust over time.

The Willys dash is indeed some type of fabric. But it appears to be 100% hydrophobic. I went to treat mine with a fabric protectant and it just beaded off. I suspect it would pick up grease stains, but it’s not as fragile as it first appears.

The Sahara is a type of synthetic leather. I like it, it feels and looks decent, but it seems extremely thin when you tap on it.

Rubicon is as well some type of synthetic leather.

I personally think it looks nice and people are less opinionated on it vs the precious Red dash.

I hated the red dash unless it was on a white, red or black Jeep. I got tan leather seats in my 2023 2 door (sold/gone) now so I could get a silver dash

I think it is synthetic kevlar carbon fiber mix...

Found that there are 3 types of dash grab handles. One is Wrangler inscribed, another is plain without the Allen head bolts for Overland Gladiator, and lastly a blank face (unbranded) with Allen head bolts on Sahara and Gladiator. All interchange on LHD dash between 2018 and 2023. The same for RHD, though they would need to be RHD parts.

Since Sahara and Gladiators don't have any inscription on their handles, I am swapping my Wrangler one out with a Gladiator Rubicon one.

I believe all Rubicons shouldn't have Wrangler inscribed just like Sahara's.

I live in the desert & drive half the year with my top down. My '18 Sahara has a pleather dash that is always coated in dust. I can't imagine what my new '24 Willys dash is going to look like by this time next year but you can order the black rubicon pleather dash part on Mopar & pop that one in. I think it was around $300 when I looked.

I’m hoping the material isn’t as fragile as it appears. As I mentioned above, it is very hydrophobic, so not just a straight fabric. Surely Jeep wouldn’t be stupid enough to put something that would easily stain on the dashes of our Jeeps, right? Right??

I'm going to ride it out & see but even if its generally wipe-able I'm not convinced dirt won't settle into the 3d portions. Will be a fun experiment. I'm still DD my '18 while I figure out which wheels I want to order for the '24 so I haven't gotten her out with the top down yet but the exterior already has a nice dusting.
