I ordered my JLUS Nov of '17 & picked it up Feb of '18. Firecracker red ("Bettie") w/ tan leather interior, currently @ 67k miles. DH got a JLS in August of '18 currently @ 54k miles.
I'm on windshield #6 - most notably someone shot at my windshield with a BB gun on the highway in LA in '21. My...
Yeah the reservoir didn't look like that last time I popped the hood. I think it got toasted when coolant ran out. I filled it & found a leak (2nd post above), ordered a new reservoir so I'll start there. No telling what the seals etc look like once I take it off, might need more parts hopefully...
Just found this other post by @Yakpimp. I filled the reservoir & got my camera in there. My issue looks similar:
Unlike that post my radiator looks fine so far so I'll try to replace the plastic reservoir. I called the dealership for the part but they said no parts are coming in due to the...
Of course this happens today, crazy day at work so I haven't investigated deeply yet but if anyone could tell me where you think I should start I would really appreciate it.
2018 JLU 66k miles. I've been smelling coolant when exiting the jeep the last 2 times I've driven but levels look fine on...
Ok! We have 2 Jeeps here so we can get a posse together some time. We know lots of great trails & also which to avoid. I'm a realtor so I'm often working on weekends & I always miss the groups who plan trips through this forum but the market has slowed down a lot so we should be around more for...
I can't speak on the low desert but the high desert right up the hill is a Jeep wonderland. Up hwy 62, left on hwy 247 and you've got trails to old mines, giant rock, the sand to snow national monument, Johnson Valley. You can drive for 15 minutes on 247 and pull off almost anywhere to the west...
Thanks @Bohdi123 I just ended up replacing it but the same thing is happening to my husband's 2018 2d now. He just keeps it in safari mode most of the time but when he has the windows in and the wind blows a certain direction the top puffs upwards since its not secured to the bows anymore. I...
My husband took this video from the hwy yesterday. Not one of our Jeeps thankfully. I saved it to remember no matter how bad I think my day is as long as my Jeep isn't on fire someone else's day is always worse.
I did it! It started! It seems normal! I ended up taking out the fuse too. So if I just return the aux battery & fender clips and use that money on a tazer I can just leave the dead aux in place forget ESS and move on with a much simpler situation?
Hi everyone. Hoping for some quick help here. The battery died on my early 2018 JLU yesterday & I purchased & installed a new main. I purchased a new aux but haven't installed it yet because I wanted to order replacements for the fender clips I'm sure I will break when I remove the fender. Those...
I never figured it out but let me know if you do, I would love to know. Our other 2018 soft top w/ less miles has started ripping from the bows. Nothing else like above is happening to that one yet but I wonder if thats how it starts.
Welcome back! I took it to the dealership & they couldn't figure out what was wrong either but said it was shot. I ended up finding someone on the forums here selling one new in the box under retail & I installed the new one myself in an hour. One thing to keep in mind if you end up installing...
