Uhhh, that’s interesting. I haven’t heard any such thing. As for my ordering, I ordered Aug 2, and have an Earl Jeep on the way (someday). I got my VIN from my dealer, 6 weeks after I placed my order. I also bugged my guy a little bit for it to ask if anything had changed or was different.

As for the colour thing.... I smell BS a little bit here. Colour almost never has an affect on the order unless it is from a limited run colour. Where are you located at? I’m guessing Ontario?

Yep, Ontario. The owner of my dealership got on the phone with Stalantis 2 weeks ago and they told them about the colour availabilities and my salesman showed me on their order systems how they couldn't order any other colours for a Sahara High Altitude. Other colours are available on other models. Which makes no sense since painting should be totally independent of what model you order. I wonder if I could sue Stalantis??

I should move back to god's country (BC). Just waiting for my wife to retire.

In all honesty, I question whether the dealer was using the right settings. I say this only because when I went to order my Jeep, initially the dealer wasn't able to place the order with the options I wanted. He finally figured out that he was using the screen for ordering dealer inventory rather than the screen for orders for an individual customer. He said dealerships have limited options when ordering for their own inventory.

High Altitude, that makes a bunch more sense, cause I think I knew that from the build & price?

Anyways, come back to BC, we aren't perfect and in the major metro areas it's stupid expensive, but it's one of the best place to live in the country. Also, we more than live up to our tag line - beautiful BC.

I would be fine if they told me that but they won’t come out and say that to me is what is making me mad. My dealer is saying that it’s in the build and we should have it soon but the tracker and jeep chat are saying it’s only confirmed. Which is it? ??

The tracker still shows me at C and my dealer told me a month ago I was in E. I had a VIN three days after I ordered, which means I was in D but there hasn't been any tracker update since I ordered. Don't let the tracker get you down, your dealer definitely knows more.

I will check into that. For some stupid reasons, they seem to use different systems in Canada than the US. But the backend should be the same.

I was at a local Jeep dealer today, and was shocked to see the crazy mark ups and ridiculously priced add-ons on their Jeeps. 10k mark up on a pretty loaded Xtreme Recon, and 30k mark up on a 392. Ouch!

Hoping that will make the wait a tiny bit easier for those of us that are paying under invoice…

All the markups are horrible, but $500 - $600 to put nitrogen in your tires. But if people are willing to pay these markups, the dealers will keep charging these prices. Thank God for Ratbert and the dealers on his spreadsheet. Well worth it to drive to pickup a Jeep. Now I would be impressed if they filled tires with hydrogen instead. That would really make servicing your tires a whole new experience.

As of today, it’s been 99 days since I placed my order; 57 since I got my vin (which is exactly 6 weeks after I made my order).

I currently have an estimated ship date of December 2, but I know Jeep well enough by now to be skeptical of it. I’ll be bugging my guy for more regular updates as the time grows closer to that date.

Just did some napkin math, and if my est. ship date stays true, it will make it 123 days from Order to Built status. I have a feeling though I will easily hit 150 days somehow before I can take delivery.

Edit: I wanna add that as much as I complain, I knew I would be in for a long wait, as my order is a Canadian order and domestic orders are prioritized over foreign orders for whatever reason.

I have been supposedly at D1 for 80 days and previously had two "ship dates", 9/29 and 10/3. On 11/9 the dealer said that he still showed 10/3 as my ship date. The dealer says as of 11/10 I am now showing a ship date of 12/2. So we will see, I am not going to get my hopes up if it happens, it happens...

Assuming the deal doesn't go sideways I'll officially be out of a job around here this evening. Maybe I can stick around as an honorary venter... Venter Emeritus maybe???

Yeah, but if it's gonna screw up, it's better to screw up with you getting your Jeep sooner rather than later. I hope it checks out.

They called today to confirm it got delivered.

I haven’t done much venting, but I’m starting to crack. Confirmed on 7/2 and now day 15 in production. Every other vehicle on the road is an awesome Jeep and I want mine so bad. That’s it.

After 11 days in Built and an estimated delivery of 12/7. This morning I wake up to a status change to Shipped, but now my estimated delivery is TBD. Anyone have any details about this?
