Someone talk me out of emailing my dealer for an update.

With so many people going into D1 last week, I should probably check to see if I'm back in D1, but I don't want to ruin my week if I haven't.

Okay, I just talked myself out of emailing my dealer.

I emailed my dealer periodically for updates. For a long time there was nothing, but once your Jeep starts to move, I would stay in touch. If it's like mine, once it started it progressed pretty quickly and the dealer always had more up-to-date info than the trackers.

When I regressed back to D, I emailed them once a week to see if I was scheduled again.

The last time I emailed was 11/2. So 12 days ago.

With the big scheduling that happened last week, I probably do have a new update. But I don't think my mental health can take another hit if I'm still not scheduled.

I'm just going to think about other things...like mentally preparing for thanksgiving at my in-laws next week. ?

At this rate I won't be surprised if we don't get our jeeps until after the new year.

When I ordered in early June I told myself it would be an early Christmas present. I didn't realize it would be Christmas 2023!

If my jeep isn't built by time they start rolling out MY24, im going to be very salty. Im trying to become a 2 jeep family and jeep is making that very difficult.

Emailed my dealer several times with no response in almost 3 weeks. I've been "tentative schedule" since July. Received an email in early Sept to remind me that I was "tentative schedule". No response to any of my other questions. Tried jeep chat, got the Cara email. No change. I'm beginning to think I'd rather have something fast and German.

So I the last time I emailed my dealer was 13 days ago. I decided to email them again today. 13 is my lucky number so fingers crossed for some good news.

If its not good news, I found a nice recipe for a pecan pie that I want to try. I will distract myself with pie while I continue to wait. ?

Update from the dealer: Nothing new.

But I told my SO about the pie I wanted to make and he requested a pumpkin pie as well. So it looks like the next few weeks I'm gonna be honing in my pie baking skills. I wish I had time to make some for Thanksgiving but I'm in charge of the turkey and 3 sides... I have to travel 2 hours with all this stuff and then use a kitchen I'm not familiar with. Its also in the mountains so the chance of snow is high. Lovely.

While I'm venting, what's up with the stores around me not having fresh herbs? Don't they know its how I make my turkeys taste so damn good. UGH. Hitting up 2 more stores today to hopefully find SOMETHING. I think next year I'll just grow my own. I've done a turkey for the past 3 years and I'm never prepared because its always a last minute thing. Next year I'll grow herbs and probably not cook the turkey. That would be my luck.

Whelp, at this point I’m torn between “I want it now” and “I want it in April, after the snow melts, since it’s taking so damn long anyway.” I live in the city, so there’s a certain appeal to not having to dig it out, but c’mon, we ordered in July, how is there no progress?!

I feel ya. My dealer is still hopeful for mid December with their track record on orders. I have a trip over Xmas weekend that I hope it either shows up before or after. Last thing I want is it sitting on the lot for a week and be all anxious and not enjoy the trip.
