Ordered on 8/1 and my dealer provided the VIN for me on 8/4, so 41 days now since then. I honestly didn't expect delivery until late October or November, but at the same time I figured I would say least have a scheduled date. Seeing others who ordered after me going to D1, for the same color too, is a bit infuriating.

I have been passing the time stalking the Reign group post, along with Opus here, and trying not to drive myself insane with anticipation. Meanwhile, I'm still putting daily miles on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon that I'll be trading in, but at least, since I work from home, not many miles.

I know you had said your dealership basically told you "don't call us, we'll call you", but have you tried their online Chat if they have one? Sometimes they'll just forward you to a salesman but sometimes not. Also, I'm assuming you've tried Jeep Chat as well?

At some point, though, you might need to leave a few footprints on your dealer's back as you go over their head to a general manager. A VIN should be something they can provide in a timely manner. At this point it really only shows that they have a record of the vehicle with the options you've selected even if Jeep doesn't recognize it yet.
At least my dealer had been good with communication. They have a dedicated email just for order status checks, and they just text messaged me after with a reply a few hours later. Unfortunately, the reply is that morning has changed. I text them back each Monday morning.

The key here is to have very low expectations on the timeline. If you’ve got low expectations, it’s a win whenever the tracker updates. ?

Be a pessimist. That way, when bad thing happen you can say, “Yeah, I expected that.” And when good things happen, it’s a pleasant surprise…

I don’t want to bring you down, but they are building 23s now. I think without a VIN and the fact they are no longer building 22s, you may need to reorder a 23.
Thanks, but I was notified a couple of months ago that my order was switched to a 2023 and my dealer confirmed that my price is locked in.

This thread is depressing. My '19 took a whole 17 DAYS to get. I'm at 19 days for my new one and don't have a VIN.
Yup, I ordered my 2020 on a Saturday and 16 days later I was driving it off the lot. I was expecting a 3-4 month wait. My dealer was even shocked how fast I got it.

I'm at 47 days right now since I've ordered. (A little over 30 days since they actually started building MY23) and I'm salty that they haven't even scheduled me. I see 2 doors driving around town and I get excited and then I get sad. I wanna go beep beep in a smaller jeep!

Yeah, I curb-rashed my front-passenger side rim of the Renegade the other day and all I could think of was how much that's going to knock off the trade-in value... :)

I tried Jeep Chat several times to find out why the tracker isn't updating so I wouldn't have to bug my salesman and each time even tho supposedly It is a "live" person I get the same ol' answer,, No additional info... check back in a few days
and my tracker is still stuck in confirmed Oh well

My trade in is going on a road trip this weekend. 1500+ miles round trip. I was hoping for a new jeep for this road trip, but I guess the mustang will get one last hurrah before it goes bye-bye. (that is if my SO finally makes up his mind if he wants to trade it in or not. Hes got a lot of time to decide apparently since I'm not gonna get my new ride any time soon...)

That's true and, as others have pointed out, the longer it takes the more you're paying down whatever you might owe on the trade-in... but then if interest rates keep going up that might just cancel that out.

The power of positive negative thinking.... :)
I was thinking more like the power of repeated whining out loud, but that works too! ??
